Patty gets paid extremely well, has a nice house ( I don't like it but I am more an old house type of guy) and a big boat to go fishing in. Probably has ticked the three boxes he had in "how I want my life to turn out" when he was 17
Kosi has got paid far above his worth for a long time as well, not sure what your post is trying to intimate. Money does not always equal happiness.

What are you on about?
I'm sure some of the older and wiser posters will remember the player's name.

Before the future Mrs Cornes number one was joined in holy matrimony with the Stud, she was married to one of the Glenelg players who Cornsey was coaching.

You mean Cornseys second wife, not Pamela

Really not cool dude, she's a nice person

So its cool to bag the shit out of Tony for cutting Cornesy's lunch, but we can't say anything about Pam?

Just on the bolded bit, it actually does, don't believe the hippie hype.

The post itself was a bit of jocularity on the theme of why Patty wouldn't leave

Tony is a repeat offender who has broken up marriage after marriage by his bi polar risk taking behaviour. Pam had an affair with one person we know about, disregard Jacks comment as that was Grahams second wife, not Pam.

Therefore no, it isn't cool to call someone a "sloot" based on one infidelity in nearly 70 years, it's actually pretty poor.

Quite simply, your wrong.

Any older Glenelg supporters out there who are happy to put JumboPrince straight.

Unless Studley has kept things secret he has only had two wives. The delightful Nicole, he current wife and Pam, mother of Chad and Kane. If you know Pam you may wish to discuss who she was with before Studley.

Three wives, look it up. You seem to get a lot of things wrong Jack

It was a throwaway line for comedic effect that you have obviously taken offence too, so I apologise.

No, you're wrong. Nicole is Graham's third wife. There's not a lot I don't know about his situation. The 'other Glenelg player' being referred to was Fred Phyllis, again that was forever ago.

Both pretty distasteful characters tbh. Never had a better feeling about the club than when Sir Blight put McGuinness out with the trash. All hail Sir Blight.

As for Patty tonight, you could see his was playing the company line in the face of a couple of awkward questions. The interview itself was pretty meh but you could tell how much he has bought into the Crows culture, he won't be leaving here
Most awkward was saying that Thommo was not injured ... so he must not have been aware AFC have already come clean about Thommo carrying an injury.

Danger is a better listen on 5AA.

Phillis was after Graham the one refereed to earlier on to of been 'allegedly' involved in a relationship with her before Cornsey was and as the "player who was moved on" once Cornsey became involved is not to hard to work out, only one prominent Glenelg player left the club to join Woodville at the end of 1984, that should be enough to end the 'gutter' talk because we all know where the 'gutter' leads to... (cryptic clue)

Yep, Thommo is in a rapid state of decline. The injury stuff was an attempted cover-up........maybe.
I'm 99.99% certain Thompson has been injured.

AFC came out & said belatedly he was carrying an injury.

Mick Sheehan asked possibly the most moronic question ever asked in Australian media.

Cornes said that because it all surfaced during a finals series, he had to compartmentalise and make sure it didn't affect the team's performance. Mike then said:

"What would all the women listening to this be thinking - putting football before a marital (issue)?"

Mike, you assclown, did you miss the part where she cheated on him?

The amount of illogical white knight ******ry in the Australian media is vomit inducing.

Was it just me, or was Mike's constant need to bring up Cornes' "hate" for Victoria a little tiresome. I mean, he opened the damn interview with it.

Is that the most notable thing he's done? He dared snub the VFL?

everything has to revolve around themselves over there

Didn't he start at Woodville and end up at Glenelg - not the other way around ?

Agree, as long as Lynch Sloane and Tex stay as a 4, none of them will leave. They talked about how much fun they have with footy, and the interviewers were surprised, assuming everyone hates footy after what Justin Kositchki said. But Danger/Sloane are pretty much man lovers, danger said it.

Only have to remember them at last years Brownlow to see how much they love each other - and Talia bailing on the Rising Star table to sit with them as soon as he could.

Thought a couple of good questions got guarded/poor answers from Pat.

The one about the player's view on the draft penalties was the big one. Healy was spot on when he said that the penalties aren't just on the club, but on players like Pat personally because his aim to win a premiership has been made significantly harder. Pat fobbed it off ("out of our control") and didn't really offer anything more, but I just got the impression that his feelings on the matter ran quite a bit deeper.

Might be reading too much into but I came away thinking that we better not f*** up this trade period as well and land spuds like Angus Graham. Or leave it all to 2014. Seemed like there was a lot left unsaid.

His affection and loyalty to our club will only stretch so far. We cannot expect unconditional love and unquestioning faith from our players. This sort of respect is earned. Players who have ambition and brains will critically evaluate the performance of the administration and football department of the club. If the club isn't as professional and doesn't meet the same performance standards as the player(s) in question do, then that is where difficult decisions get made.

The other questions were about his game. About contested/uncontested balance and also showing a bit more poise with the football rather than doing everything at 100% all the time and risking errors. Good questions I thought. He didn't really acknowledge the first bit at all as being an area to work on. With the latter he sort of talked about how he had improved since he first started but it was good now.

I would have thought that these are the two development areas for him to become close to the best player in the competition. Whilst he is still our best player even with these minor 'flaws' in his game and every other player has far worse flaws they could improve on, he still has another level he could go up. I'm not seeing a Ricciuto-style development of his game. I'm not seeing a midfield coach guiding him through an increased hurt factor plus a game style that will retain the influence and also lead to longevity. The interview left me with even less faith in Camporeale than I had before. It didn't strike me that Dangerfield was being challenged to improve.
