hope soI think you'd find that Geelong are very reasonable to deal with.

FFS - stages of grief again? You know they are complete rubbish right? It is only people that have heard of them in terms of AFL player movement that still quote them.I've known Dangerfield was leaving for a while now, you can check my posts from the past to confirm this (if that's something that takes your fancy) and the five stages of grief we are going through is very slow.
So a lot of us were in denial that he'd leave, stage 1, until the club came out and confirmed the rumors last Wednesday publicly and then we all got angry, stage 2, then as the days ticked over, more of us moved on to step 3, bargaining, or more accurately, defining a deal that we could get in return. Some have moved into the depression stage and some have moved into the acceptance stage, but we are spread out quite a bit, there's still people stuck in the anger stage, don't get these people mixed up with those in the depression stage, although, I know it can be hard to define between the two in this instance.
Which stage of grief are you at with Dangerfield? I'm only asking this for a bit of fun, the five stages of grief are only accurate for those with terminal conditions, so we aren't really going through these five stages.

If anyone on here or anywhere else is experiencing grief over Dangerfield leaving. Please go to the nearest room with a mirror in it. Have a good hard look at yourself.I've known Dangerfield was leaving for a while now, you can check my posts from the past to confirm this (if that's something that takes your fancy) and the five stages of grief we are going through is very slow.

Connors is scum. I remember years back when Cassisi was Ports skipper and wanted to stay, Connors tried talking him out of it and any other player from coming here. Whilst I'm no fan of Port thats a dog act.Paul Conners on trade radio can go **** himself.
Adelaide should take the compensation because Danger has given 8 wonderful years. 7 ****** he was in Melbourne for the first year.
He is prepared to go to the draft and will get to Geelong.
Doesn't expect it to happen quickly
And you could hear Hutchy banging on the desk as he was talking.
5 or 6 year deal and doesn't sound huge money
Won't be nominating terms of goes to the draft
heck you Paul Connors.
He wants to say that PD walking to PSD is a real option - complete bullshit.
I've hoped till now we would at least get 2 1sts but I now agree with you…the system is absolute BS.Forget all the chest beating and rhetoric on Big Footy. We will get bent over here. We will either accept the compo or he will go to Geelong in the draft.
I don't think so this timeForget all the chest beating and rhetoric on Big Footy. We will get bent over here. We will either accept the compo or he will go to Geelong in the draft.
How will you react if he then gets to Geelong through the PSD?of course its a real option, a real bad one for PD
i'd be happy with this if Geelong don't pony up something that makes them squeak
I doubt it. Whilst we won't get his full value I expect a decent trade. Both clubs have no doubt been in negotiations for weeks which Connors really has no business being in.Forget all the chest beating and rhetoric on Big Footy. We will get bent over here. We will either accept the compo or he will go to Geelong in the draft.
Problem is we desperately need to replace him and pick 14 would likely be traded somewhere. How the f*** is Dangerfield going to get to Geelong in the draft?
It's only pick 14 - completely happy to send him.
Get a decent trade and I'll be over him in a second.
Get shafted with pick 14 and anger will resurface very quickly…'8 years of wonderful service'…blah, blah, blah…I really don't give a crap about his 1B&F and no premierships in his 7 years of service. It's an absolute joke that clubs can't trade out players against their will if this is all we get.
Why is the player bigger than the success of the club (a collection of 40+ players).
Won't be nominating terms of goes to the draft
I do. Connors and Dangerfield together will go all out to discourage any other club picking him up in the draft. I really cant see another club interfering. None of them are ruthless enough to do it. It would be a very ruthless move to take him against his will knowing that he wants to get to Moggs Creek and his family. No club will do it despite a very strong case for it.I don't think so this time
Not much incentive for a club to do it either though.if he doesn't nominate any terms, then the "best" he can hope for is a 1 year deal on minimum wage before demanding a trade to Geelong at the end.
that's a pretty shitty option for him
How will you react if he then gets to Geelong through the PSD?
