Some have already given up and are simply ready to accept the second rate slops from Geelong.

We draft him at pick 10, we then developed him into a top 3 player.

Now we must accept pick 9 and an unknown pick 12 months latter? give me a break.

No wonder this place is so negative, you have already given up and conceded defeat.

If we go in to that first trade meeting in 8 days time and say - give us 2 top 10 picks and a first choice player for Dangerfield and then walk out. They will know we mean business. We must be willing to lose him for nothing to get a massive gain. We need to make that entire club squirm for a few days and make them come up with a better deal.

Go read the Geelong board. They would go mental if they didn't get a deal done. That entire club are hanging every bit of hope on him going to Geelong. Frank Costa would start getting very nervious if we show we are willing to let him go for nothing. As soon as they come to the reality they may not get him, they will find a player or 3 to trade to improve the deal. We can not make this easy for them. I'm happy to let him go for nothing if it shows we are going to become a serious club and a serious negotator. Not a club who will roll over and accept a deal within 5 minutes.

If we do, that is why heads have to roll and David Noble would be first.

Or piss themselves laughing.

We dont want him in the PSD.

And if we do the proposed trade, they will "piss themselves lsughting" anyway.

Highway robbery.

We have to be willing to let him go for nothing to gain maximum return. They won't want to lose him. Not at this point.

I think that if the PD deal isn't stitched up in first week then the Crows will be getting a few juicy deals thrown at them from the likes of Carltank, Melbourne, Richmond, Hawks etc. Either way trade period is gonna be epic for Crows fans. In Roo, Reid and Fagan we trust. Noble not so much.

The thing about bluffing is, its not really bluffing when your opponent knows your doing it.

Only because we have never had the courage to follow through in the past.

If we want to be taken serious as a football club we need to become comfortable in uncomfortable situations and right now, holding our nerve becomes an uncomfortable situation.

Hate to say it Crow fans, but I'm pretty convinced the deal has already been done! All this other bs is just tough talk! We get a player (murdoch, gregson) and their first this year.... That's it massive unders but that's it

From what Chris Scott said today, he intimated Fagan and Roo have to beat their chests to appease our supporter base. But behind the scenes it sounds like there is some constructive work going on.

There are rumors going around that an in principle deal has already been agreed for the two first round draft picks. He's worth more but given the circumstances that's probably as good as we're going to get.

Its not in either club's interest to delay things, given other trades they want to complete. At the end of the day, if we use those picks wisely, we should be able to break even at the very least.

With blabber gums Scott still dribbling shit, I reckon there is some ways to go yet. We are fools if we settle for what u described. Not u being a fool btw

If Geelong don't have any players we want and they are prepared to trade, We should be pushing for 2 top 10 picks this year and next years first round (could be anything between 6 and 14 realistically) If we can get say 5 and 9 this year, we could trade 5 to Lions with Dmac for Mayes/Aish and Redden.
9 and Wright could be used on Bennell and our second rounder could net Hampton.

That leaves us with Geelong's first rounder next year, our first pick (14).
We lose Danger, Wright and Dmac, pick 5 and 9 and second rounder
Gain Bennell, Mayes/Aish, Redden and Hampton

Play hard or go home

I doubt they'll be overtly forcing anyone out to bring in a player. They're not a top team anymore, so there's no depth that aren't getting games that have 2nd round value and more game time on offer elsewhere. I reckon unless a good player sticks there hand up, the best we can reasonably expect is this and next year's 1sts and maybe a couple of pick upgrades. But they still need currency for other targets.

True. Luckily that's not our problem. Wink
2 firsts and one of players trainroo32 mentioned has to be our minimum goal, however u are prob right.

I know we would like two first rounder's and a player but I think it will be either:

a) Two first rounder's (this year and next year)
b) 1st (this year) and 2nd (next year) plus player (Murdoch).

Geelong will be pushing for:

a) 1st (this year) and 2nd (next year)

and possibly begrudgingly

b) 1st this year plus player (Murdoch)

Gaining a Bennell, Murdoch and Hampton would be satisfactory in my view to replace danger.

*This is all personal speculation and I never do proposed trades so don't shoot me down.

What circumstances? That he's an uncontracted player?
