AFL Club
Adelaide
With all the emphasis on Tippett at the moment, this one is slipping under the radar.

Initially signed a 3 year contract so has another year left, same as Tippett. Are we going to try and lock him in for a further 2/3 years now? Anyone heard any word?

I think the only team we could lose him to is Geelong (seeing as he comes from there). Even then.. I don't think Geelong are looking for what Danger has to bring to the club.

I am confident he will sign i have no worries about that

You can bet Stiffy_18's left testicle that we will be stitching him up for the next 3 years.

He'll sign - and so will Tippett.

Seriously, if we were to lose danger and tips (hypothetically) surely we would fold as a club, or rename ourselves Fremantle... or Richmond.

We will move heaven and earth. :)

I am confident that we will sign both Tippett and Dangerfield to extensions this off-season. So confident in fact that I would bet my own lefty on it! :D :p

In recent times the club has tried to make sure they didnt get mummy boys who would of wanted to of gone home.

Reason we took Danger in the first place (ahead of Rioli)

we wont lose anyone for homesick reasons for a long long time :)

If one of those players are unable to sign i think this quote will be the first one to be bumped:D

Hopefully it will not happen though, for Adelaide and Stiffy's sake.

Thats what I like to hear!

Saw Patty at the soccer tonight, was going to say g'day but then I got all nervous and stuff and just walked past him :o

Good thing you didn't say hi. I hear if you startle him his "remove the ball from the opponent" instinct kicks in

I'm sure the club is enjoying the much lesser spotlight being cast on Dangerfield. Imagine the publicity it would be getting if we didn't have Tippett taking up the back pages! I've no doubt that Dangerfield will be getting a new (three year?) contract and a hefty raise, but it may not be this year.

I'm extremely confident that Patty will sign a dead before June.

I can't believe what a bunch of young talent we have......they'll want to stay together.

LOL.

Check any of the Victorian club's lists - they all have plenty of players who originally come from the Geelong Falcons. You could lose him to any Victorian club, not just Geelong. The only clubs I couldn't see him going to are Port Adelaide, West Coast, Freo, Sydney or Brisbane - and you know what they all have in common.

Macca 23 you are making a habit of betting Stiffy_18's left testicle. As before I'm in as well and I'll bet my 38 double D's hell' stay

What odds in one weeks time we will find your Lefty pawned down at CashConvertors!

I do, I do. Much safer than betting my own!! :)

Mind you, your contribution to the bet would be far more attractive than Stiffy's offering!! :D

Hell, with the number of times I've bet Stiffy's left knacker over the years, it's of very little value these days!! :D

The point is that Danger loves the Crows and loves the group of people here. The only reason he would leave would be that he was a massive Geelong fan growing up, so he might want to come back there one day.

There's no reason for him to want to go to, say, Hawthorn over Geelong. He has no affinity with the club, and if he was going to go back to his home state, why not the city closest to his actual home?

Either way, it won't matter. He'll re-sign and will be a multiple AA winner at the Crows. Might even snare a Brownlow one day :thumbsu:

cmnsdstab how do you know this to be true?

Only from what I've heard from the club (both in press conferences/interviews, and from some people I know from the club) and also from what Danger himself has said. Yeah, I know he is always going to say good things but he chose his words specifically enough to make me believe them.

Theres also that article written by his Grandfather that was posted here a few weeks back that definitely makes it sound like he is happy in Adelaide.

Although Dangerfield played for Geelong Falcons, he actually comes from a tiny country town an hour down the road from there, Mogg's Creek. He wouldn't exactly be going "home" in the same sense as a Melbournian or a Geelong resident. Inter-state clubs have a tendency to side with Vic Country players over Metro because they tend to be less likely to leave for home sickness.
