Why not ? I know he doesnt like trading, but to win a Premiership its clear that you have to trade most of the time. For Us Bradshaw would be perfect, especially in Rowdys absence. We need a Bradshaw type player, hes strong, takes a good contested mark and most importantly Kicks Goals.
in Craigy's PC....he said words to the effect of ...." you can buy them or grow them.......and the days of buying them at the AFC are over"

So suddenly Bradshaw is only 27 but you have Doughty just about rolled off into a retirement home and he is 28:rolleyes:

Bradshaw obviously plays a different position. As a deep forward he has more potential years left than Doughty (the same principle as extending Roo's career by playing forward).

Also, Bradshaw would be our best key forward while Doughty is only one of many 'very good but not great' midfield options behind Goodwin and Edwards.

It's called misrepresentation maccas. :D

Doughty turned 27 last month.

Bradshaw will turn 28 in 2 months time.

Depends whether he's aiming for a flag in the next few years with the Goodwins, Roos, Edwards ect. or whether he wants to cut his losses and build the squad again.

Andrew Gaze has more chance at winning Dancing With The Stars than the Adelaide Crows have for trading for Daniel Bradshaw.

Would not trade Ken McGregor for him anyway.

crows98, i would be interested in your reasoning for not wanting to trade McGregor for Bradshaw?

Actually goal kicking stats over thier careers are very close between Bradshaw and Welsh. But hey, lets not get the facts get in the way of bagging a player

are you sure about that stiffy, we were after all a spoon contending team this year ;)

Age – only factor

Only player I would look at bring into the club over the next 2 years (this year and next) would be via the national draft or the PSD (Porplyzia in the PSD is an exception at 22)

McGregor is 24 and Bradshaw is 27 why increases the average age of the list, it not like he is a Carey or a Pavlich

McGregor is turning 26 in January and, fitness and mobility wise, is probably 'older' than Bradshaw in real terms...so for mine the argument regarding age is a weak one.

Agreed, Bradshaw is certainly no Pavlich but he is also a far better proposition than Carey was when acquired after a season and a half disrupted by injury and off-field turmoil.

While i believe it is our midfield that is our primary concern, Bradshaw could make a marked difference up forward, and unlike Kenny, still has the mobility to play down back when required.

Bradshaw would seem to have oher ideas apparently.

Another Lion walking away, theres only 1 common factor in this player exodus it seems.
Other than Aker, who are the others? One player hardly equals an exodus. It seems to me you have been reading BigFooty rumours.

Did you include the games Bradshaw has played in defence when comparing their goal kicking stats?

Welsh would be a better player with Bradshaw in the side. Time and again we have seen Welsh played as our go to forward and he simply doesn't have the size, strength or ability to fill this role. There is no doubt Welsh has a place in the team but he needs bigger bodies around him to make contests in our forward line and to take the best defender(s) away from him.

Saturday capped off what must have been a frustrating season for him. His second half on Saturday was the worst performance I have seen from a Crows player since Jericho in the preseason GF. I hope he is given a bit more freedom next season playing across half forward, floating up the ground occassionally as well as spending a bit of time close to goal.
