tough to say given it takes his age and a bunch of other things into account.

Welcome to the might Magpies Dan. Not a huge fan of the 5 year deal but if he can give us some KP flexibility and support inside fwd 50 he could be an invaluable addition to our flag push.
 
Seems like a lovely bloke. I have been doubtful but now he's no longer gabba gabba hey and now one of us, I've more of a pinheadated vibe about it

For some context

So it’s around 550-600 you’d assume given mcstay is slightly older. Or thereabouts
 
Welcome Dan McStay, finally to the Pies.
Alot of criticism of us chasing this bloke, but considering he can play forward, ruck, mid and back, gives us fantastic options and variety.
Plays forward he can take the pressure off Mihocek and Johnson, and crash the packs for our small forwards by bringing the ball to ground. He goes back, the big body helps Howe, Moore and Murphy, or plays ruck he can relieve Cameron or Cox and plays that around the ground role very well.
In this years finals campaign for Brisbane, he had two very good finals, and against Richmond probably got Brisbane over the line when he moved into the ruck.
I like him at the Pies, and really hope he shows why we got him to the Pies in '23, and sticks it up a few critics too....

Seems like a humble and pleasant young man from his interview. His Dad owns a tattoo studio, but interestingly he doesn’t appear to have any tattoos.
