He doesn’t even average a goal a game. No sure how these numbers are being bandied about. 35 goals would be a very good return.

Absolutely - we have recruited Dan for exactly what his role was with the bears - he is a structural player that fills out the forward or back line with another competent tall that can switch hit.

yeh they introduced him to the vfl boys and they all love him....so he'll be good next year

Still shocked we gave him 5 years, we didn't need to do that. Reminds me of the Mayne deal, in so far as, he was always coming here, yet we went overboard in the contract(in Mayne's case it was money not contract length like McStay).

He's a solid AFL player, good field kick, I don't see us using him as a deep forward. He's never kicked 30 goals in a season. Mihocek will remain the better deep option.

Decent ruck/fwd option, look, on a 3 year deal I would have been far more positive about the move.

Certainly wish him the best and let's hope we get the best of him!

Brisbane would have something to say about that because they offered 5 on less $. I don’t like the contract, but it’s not a bad one like Jackson/ Fremantle, Rankine/ Adelaide and Grundy/ Melbourne. IMO, we need to get used to this as the going rate for best 22 KPF’s in their prime.

We are quite clearly joking mate. His role at bris has been up the ground and back up ruck. So I’m not concerned with goal kicking stats

I still don’t get why these media clowns think that we are paying $600k. The Lions offer was reported as ‘almost $500k’. Surely our offer is only ‘almost $501k’.

I just don't get the plans for how it all fits together with McStay, Krueger, Mihocek, Johnson, and Elliott (and that assumes only one of Cameron and Cox play in the ruck each week and not dep forward). The ball doesn't get in there enough to keep them all productive!

And before you say 'Kreuger or Mcstay will go key back', well, we will get Frampton also, so I'm not sure how we see all of them fitting in! And I don't think we've recruited any of these guys for depth only.
