I was actually thinking of Taz but it really says a lot about our key forwards over the last 20+ years doesn't it!Yes Ben was really something - sadly he was made of glass.

Yes it does sadly.I was actually thinking of Taz but it really says a lot about our key forwards over the last 20+ years doesn't it!
Considering he will be prob playing up the ground a bit, i think 60 prob a more realistic target
He doesn’t even average a goal a game. No sure how these numbers are being bandied about. 35 goals would be a very good return.Ridiculous . He’s so overrated. He won’t kick more than 58.
( or less than 55)

And Elliott will be able to get off the chain more

I was just putting his goal kicking in perspective. We haven’t recruited a modern day Tony Lockett.Yeah it was just a fun post…. Chill
Absolutely - we have recruited Dan for exactly what his role was with the bears - he is a structural player that fills out the forward or back line with another competent tall that can switch hit.I was just putting his goal kicking in perspective. We haven’t recruited a modern day Tony Lockett.
Sounds like he'll be nice and settled with family down here. Seems like a great get culture wise too.
Brisbane would have something to say about that because they offered 5 on less $. I don’t like the contract, but it’s not a bad one like Jackson/ Fremantle, Rankine/ Adelaide and Grundy/ Melbourne. IMO, we need to get used to this as the going rate for best 22 KPF’s in their prime.Still shocked we gave him 5 years, we didn't need to do that. Reminds me of the Mayne deal, in so far as, he was always coming here, yet we went overboard in the contract(in Mayne's case it was money not contract length like McStay).
He's a solid AFL player, good field kick, I don't see us using him as a deep forward. He's never kicked 30 goals in a season. Mihocek will remain the better deep option.
Decent ruck/fwd option, look, on a 3 year deal I would have been far more positive about the move.
Certainly wish him the best and let's hope we get the best of him!
We are quite clearly joking mate. His role at bris has been up the ground and back up ruck. So I’m not concerned with goal kicking statsHe doesn’t even average a goal a game. No sure how these numbers are being bandied about. 35 goals would be a very good return.
Yes structural players are so often overlooked. You guys have got a great player.
Stat's don't paint the whole picture.
Most of the time we were noticeably better when he played in our team. Was very important to our structure.
He will be a strong player for you next year.

Our various kits look so good everyone. I'm surprised more players don't want to come to us just to look hot!
You know...they may actually change the opinion of a few!I can't wait to see the boys in the 2023 edition Collingwood FC puffer jackets.
