Bring something to the forward line? Laziness? Selfishness? Poor attitude? No sense of team? Which do you prefer?

I doubt even the Gold Coast would overlook these flaws in favour of his unquestioned (but sporadic) talent, I certainly wouldn't introduce a bad seed like him to a bunch of impressionable kids.

I was thinking we may be a good influence on him and we may be able to pick him up for cheap.... like #40 in the Pre Season Draft. Might be a good Porps backup. I have this romantic notion that he could be a good player one day.... even though he is 28.

Talented - yes, a matchwinner on his day - yes, but the attitude etc that comes with him could permeate through the team and destroy our culture.

He is where he belongs and IMO one of the biggest causes of Port's problems over the last few years are a few players' attitudes similar to Motlop's, combined with Choco's inabilty/unwillingness to stamp them out, consequently allowing them to run through the team like a cancer.

As i said in another thread, the guy is not AFL standard, he is 'AFL moments' standard. The bloke couldn't play 22 games for the Roosters without being dropped to the magoos. The game has passed this sort of player by.

GC would sooner go for Krak from their list than Motlop.

That's just it his value has most probably hit rock bottom & at age 27 what would be the upside of anyone trading for him.

Just saying that PA did delist him which they won't of course would he be worth a late draft pick to a club like Sydney or Brisbane ?

Absolutely not! At least Donnelly gives us something humorous to write about in the SANFL previews/reviews, Motlop would just give us tumours...
