i was told that he has been told thanks but no thanks by a mate who works at collingwood in admin - i post this because i thought he is a good player and would like essendon to give him a go on the rookie list
 
If this is true im not surprised as i thought he was being overrated by some people.

Toovey and cox showed much more as rookies.

Murray, it's a forum, so realise that people chuck things up, most for attention, but this seems a serious thread, and the fact that Jimmy (who I rate highly) actually gave his source that he has.

If true, unlucky, as there is usually one who doesn't get the luck. Nicholls showed enough to make us feel he is unlucky, but I think Toovey showed more improvement as the year gradually went through, and Cox is a favourite of mine, so I won't explain.

your right it is 1 of the thousands of rumours thrown up every day but a mate does work in admin at collingwood and he told me - where he heard it i dont know but i believe it is true

And don't ever presume to tell me what I can say and what I can't say - boy.

If this is true Collingwood must have rocks in their heads. A quick and skillful midfielder who plays with desperation is the type of player we are crying out for. I personally would have have him in front of numerous players on our list even without having played a senior game. The icing on the cake for me would be the retention of players like the booch and then we would know they have no idea what so ever.

What's become a habit is your negative attitude to posters in the last week. To be on a forum we obviously are accepting rumours every time we open a thread, as this bulletin is a first in thing for I guess bragging rights.

Anytime something is said, you turn it down like you would know if it's true or not. The fact that somebody has said something that he has heard from a source who is closer than 99% of us, seems reliable enough to give an opinion of what the possibility might be, rather than writing it off like you would know.

I'm far from gullable. When I hear a rumour, i post with that at the top of the thread. A question mark in the title may have been more appropriate, yes, but then again, your respect is missing.

I would be disappointed if this was true. Nicholls has shown more than enough for retention and I believe he will make it. How can this guy get the chop when we have a midfield full of crabs.

I may have just got back from a night out and be absolutley full, but we're all Collingwood supporters here. LF50 is one of our best posters - johnno26 your're up there with him. Im affraid to say Murray, but you've seemed to become the left wing faction of the ALP in the last week; Chip on your shoulder. Let's just wait til the end of trade week to see who was indulging in wishful thinking and who wasnt.
