Saw this kid today in action against the Bendigo Bombers. Looked like a real likely type - good speed, foot skills and good in tight. I notice that he has only played one game for the Seniors.......what are your thoughts on him??
 
I wasnt very impressed with him when i saw him in his first game.

Looked to small and weak to make it in the big league.

I'm not the only one who has seen him and been unimpressed with the way he carries himself.

Walks around like he has won three brownlows.

As far as his ability goes, he looked terrible in the 3 pre-season games I saw him in, and his debut was nothing short of woeful.
 
I saw him in the last couple of Willi games last year and thought that he may be able to add pace to our midfield. Looked small, but had good skills and seemed hard at it.

Hopefully he gets another chance after is terrible debut
 
The most disappointing thing about his debut wasn't the free kicks he gave away or the lack of possession...there were about 2 occasions where he started about 3m in front of Kerr and got caught within 15. Kerr is obviously pretty quick, but you just shouldn't be getting outrun that badly, especially if one of your supposed attributes is pace.
 
1 game is not enough to judge a player on but it’s a ruthless cut throat world and he is in the gun sights. He’ll be lucky not to be one of the ones culled.

So what I don't care if he thinks he's the king of ****ing England. In the real world there are lots of tossers and people you don't get along with and sometimes you have to rely on them and/or work alongside them.

Get rid of Didak, forget about Nathan G Brown don't come to Collingwood, Buckley came off bad in an interview in 95 once get rid off him, I met Cloke once and he didn't sign my jumper get rid off him, I met Thomas in a nightclub and he was prancing around like a w***er get rid of him too.

Didak is a moron but an alround nice guy.

Buckley seems slightly arrogant but have a brownlow, norm smith etc

Cloke is a ladies man but is still a nice guy to talk to and has some skill

Thomas is a hyperactive character could tone it down, but tries bloody hard on field.

Nicholls is a wanka who sooks off when a fourteen yo girl asks for a signature and he cant get her number as payment, he then walks around like he is already nathan Buckley and when he finally debuts he puts up a piss poor effort but still walks around with a swagger of a premeirship hero.

Nicholls is not a hard ball winner (or a ruckman) so he is expendable, ontop of which he is an arrogant little squib and isnt the type of character Collingwood needs. If he had Browny points and paid some dues maybe but he has done neither so we dont want him.

Im gonna get another yellow for arguing back arnt i?

I hate slagging off at any of the kids but young Danny needs a foot up the bum for both attitude and football. In fact I think his attitude is reflected in his footy which is more than a touch selfish, plus he's a very one-sided kick.

Problem you have with all these examples is that these guys are all top class players, Nicholls isn't

Sometimes people have reason to walk around like king shit, because they are. Doesn't make it ok, but you can understand it.

When you walk around like you are top shit, when clearly you aren't - you look like even more of a w***er.

I'm happy to put up with ********s if they are good players, but if you're a ******** AND you're no good, no dice!

He deserves another game, we cant expect him to set the world on fire in his first game, give him a few more then we will make our decision
 
This is his last year on rookie so his either elevated or gone at the end of the year been consistant at vfl level and i dare say at the start of the year he was ahead of wellingham as he was elevated to the senior list but horror debut and no chances since i think wellingham will get a game this week and i like the looks of him and think he will do well i think clarke and wellingham will be elevated and nichols will be delisted as we need to make 5-6 changes to put both wellingham and clarke up and another one for nichols and even if you have Toovey Davies delisted Buckley Wakelin Licca retire that's not enough and I am not sure if Toov's will be delisted or if Licca will retire

Unless their attitude affects their training or effort it should never EVER get in the way of deciding on the worth of a player. I don't think Nicholls can be accused of this, sure enough he's probably not good enough, but that's the only reason he will be delisted.

Hypothetical: You wouldn't get rid of say a middle of the road player like say R.Shaw just because he walks around like he's the best footballer ever. If that was part of my decision making I'd get rid of Heath Shaw because I hate that wanky haircut he has that seems to be the style with you young unkempt youngsters.

You are being a hyprocrite by saying it's ok if a top class player is a w***er. You can go around saying he's a w***er all you like (as long as it's not stupid slanderous rumours) but don't go saying he should be delisted because of it.
