Starting in the next week or so the club will announce the re-signing of key players Matthew Leuenberger and Daniel Rich, and then sometime before the final game Michael Voss will be appointed for another two-year term.

As for him being "pumped" about West Coast - I don't think his situation is any different from 95 percent of players who get drafted to a club other than the one they supported as a kid - they get over it pretty damn quickly.

He seems very happy in Queensland. I suspect he sees the relative anonymity as a pretty big positive.

Either we pulled out because he was going to cost too much or his loyality factor made the decision.

My bet would be the offer from the Lions to stay was more than what we offered.

In any case kudos to Rich for ignoring the mega bucks from GWS and also staying loyal to his club and team mates.

A two year deal isn't a long one and he will be coming out of contract again when he is 23/4, what was the free agency period of service a player needs to have completed? 6 years I believe it is?.

My, my what a coincidence.

And yes, possibly a deal for O'Meara did factor in our decision. Here's hoping anyway.
