Having a very consistent year so far, back to his AA best!
Liked the part in the game where he took I think 3 marks in a row from the opposition's defense. Maybe Talia can take over Walker's spot for next round? :D

last nights game was exceptional from Talia as not just blanketed Lynch but took great pressure marks etc and as usual organised the backlines,
Mr Lever should give Daniel half his oversized pay packet as that how he looked so good and now very average,

Yep said it before, changing clubs where you're then not surrounded by the talent that makes you look good is often not a good idea. Yes Jake's a great intercept marker but at the moment he's looking like an expensive one trick pony who doesn't function that well without General Tahlia.

Particularly when your a player who relies on structure like Lever did.

Players like Lyons and Cameron can flourish because they aren't reliant on those around them

The way Talia has played the first six games it makes me think that for a large part of 2017 he was playing injured. This year he looks a lot more mobile and free in his movement - he is having a cracker!

Agreed. That's the best game Talia has played for a very, very long time. He has deserved to be questioned in the last year or so, but is different this year. He looked to have a different body shape this year, less weight, a waist, and more mobile indeed. I'm sure injury was the explanation for his previous malaise. This year, he's actually marking and displaying skills other than the simple blanketing role.

I got that vibe from him once when I chatted to him at an SANFL game.

I guess being heavily involved with Supercoach makes him a bit if a Footy nerd as well.

Makes you wonder why he does not see the value in crashing packs to create loose ball opportunities in our forward line.

Although he has improved a fair but this year in regards to co ntested work.

Is there some way we can force him to put all of our small forwards into his own Supercoach team? Maybe a direct incentive like that would lead directly to more pack-crashing?

I gotta tell this story again. On the way to the dream final, my mate said "I had a funny dream last night. I dreamed about the game and Rutten kicked a goal on Tredrea. Jesus wouldn't that be funny" (words to that effect). I kid you not.

Cue the X Files music.

Hahaha that reminds me back at the start of 2012, I had a dream that GWS beat Port. Was telling my Port-supporting colleague all about it the following day. Jump forward a few months and GWS secured their first ever AFL win against Port at Spotless - I was SMSing her afterwards "do you remember I told you I dreamed about this?!?!". It was eerie :D
