Daniher V Pears for second pick

Interesting that Both Knights and Dedora stated that they definately would have used their second pick to secure Daniher had a club bid higher

From what I understand of Pears, he's got more strengths than Daniher and would definately be rated a better prospect at this point of time. Again, I havn't seen enough of either to have a good opinion of it.

With the benefit of hindsite, would we have been worse of taking Daniher as our second pick given that we'd have missed out on Pears?

Every single player in the draft (except Kruezer of course) should have been taken earlier in the draft if you listen to the list managers.

I haven't seen as much of Daniher as i have of Pears but this is what i have observed.

Both very good leads and marks.

Pears more mobile and clean, especially below his knees.

Pears appears quicker.

Appears Pears is more suited to setting up play with either quicker decision making or quicker transfers and better disposal.

From what i have seen i would rate Pears a lot higher than Darcy but of course it's about how good they end up.

I think your talking about Adrian Dodoro but anyway.
I think Daniher and Pears are just as good as each other in a way, say Pears has great pace and loves a 1 on 1 contest while Daniher has a great pare of hands and is a hard tough defender.

They're both as good as each other and in the future when they're playing shoulder to shoulder they'll be an unstopable defence.

One area that Darcy is definately ahead of Tayte in my book is overhead contested marking, Darcy's an absolute stand out in that area.

Not saying that Pears is a mug at it though.

Pears looks like he can read the play well, and floats in to the space well to cut off opposition attack.

But How good is Daniher's contested marking? I am impressed with Daniher's clip in the Bomber TV, than the other two higher picks'.
