Daniher

Just watching the last few weeks, firstly have been very disappointing, but I've also noticed that when we're losing, we don't really know what to do - it seems that Daniher doesnt have a Second Plan, Plan B, a backup plan. Today we were getting beaten well and truly but didn't seem to change strategy much, if at all. It may've been OK in the end had we won, but we lost by 39 points.
What are everyone's thoughts on Daniher and his lack of ideas?

PS. I'm not blaming Daniher for the loss - the Dees were simply sh1t, but we definitely need something else when we're not playing the free flowing game.

I'd launch into Daniher.

The Hawks love to switch the ball across half back in particular with a sideways kick, so why were they allowed to do that with ease today?

Why was the right match up for Mark Williams not found? Geez, he's been on fire, Daniel Bell was a terrible idea for his first opponent. Who planned that one?

Did anybody get dragged for lack of discipline? I tell you Moloney is a very good player, but he was getting into too many little aggro blues off the ball and I think it impacted on his performance. Rivers punch late in the game on Dixon was rotten. I hope the video shows Ferguson being kneed in the head by some Hawks boofhead moments earlier.

Jeff White spent too long sooking over the shocking bounces, just get on with it. He got too rattled by that.

Awful game. The only positive was Colin Sylvia picked up a few touches I was rapt with that.

Daniher has been a generally poor match day coach, but the onus has to go onto the players as well. Particularly the forwards lack of wanting to run with their opponents as they ran down the ground. Yze, Robertson, Holland etc were poor in that regard. It did seem like a lot of our young guys got distracted by the push and shove and wrestling, like Rivers, Moloney, Ferguson etc. I also think our game plan is not as good as it could be, it's all well and good to get it in the corridor and in long to the forwards, but kicking high and not out in front doesn't give the forwards enough of a chance. It showed when the hawks put it out in front of Williams and let him run on to it.

AND PLEASE COME BACK MATTY WHELAN!!! first Farmer gets seven now Williams eight. I think we've underrated how important Matty is.

Damn right. Thought the only positive was Brock McLean and Moloney hitting some good form. McLean was the player who brought us back into it in the 2nd quarter and he was very good. Umpiring was generally poor to both sides and Holland didn't present well enough to enable us to just bomb it in when we usually have a Miller or Neitz who are very good marks. It is a big danger game this week vs Carlton as they are in sh*t form but will be very pumped up and we could be in a lot of trouble. On Daniher anyway I don't mind him but if we didn't make finals this year I'd be calling for blood as would probably a lot of Dees supporters.
