Apparently Danny Meyer has been delisted by Richmond.
Just when maybe he'd got his body in some knick.
Surley worth a PSD pick?
If only just to get him back to the bays :D

Would undo all the handy work of delisting Jericho.

Do we really need a thread on every single dud player delisted by a dud team on here???

Or can we make a central thread?

Being such a high draftee only 2 or 3 year ago would suggest he had some talent so maybe a rookie spot may be in order.

I wouldn’t consider drafting him outright if he has had a large amount of soft tissue injuries but would look at him for a rookie spot and could become a bargain buy.

Oh, no doubt he has talent, but it's the old Luke Jericho situation.

Unless we can somehow teach him how to work 2 ways, he will be useless.

The only thing going for him, is he was in Richmond's youth development program which we all know is pretty poor.

the problem is that we only have 3 rookie spots left - i certainly wouldnt waste one of our 1st 5 draft picks on him - unless we delist another player

How so?

And in any case, I'm not sure he can be rookie listed, since he has played AFL games.

Yes he can as long as he is aged between 18 and 23. Are you thinking about a mature aged rookie. To keep eligibility a mature aged rookie cannot have played any AFL game

And Danny Myer is turning 23 next year. So not sure where that leaves him.

I'm not sure of the exact qualifying age. I know that it's 23, but I'm not sure exactly what date that is taken from. The games played qualification is 50 though, so if Meyer is young enough (I'm pretty sure he will be, because my best guess would be 23 by January 1).

West Coast rookied Steven Armstrong a few years ago and he'd been in the system for about four years and played 43 games for Melbourne.

Apparently he had a hip injury and kept complaining to the Richmond staff about it who told him to keep playing which made it worse to the point he needed surgury.

In the latter part of the season he finally started to get over it and started to get some form up........then delisted

David Rodan was pretty shit at Richmond as well.

Pick him up I say

No that's not true rodan was good until he had knee reco, richmond should have been more patient with his recovery.
