i have david myers in my team and i read he is out for 4 weeks with stress reactions.

i only have 4 trades left so i don't realy want to waste one on him. i also have mcleod in my team but luckily both my emergencies jake edwards and lachlan hansen played last week. do you guys think when myers 4 weeks is up he will come back into the essendon team or is he more likely to play out the rest of the year in the ressies? i'm not too familiar with stress reactions, maybe they might even keep him out foor the rest of the year i don't know. any information/ideas would be appreciated.

Then i would wait a couple weeks and use him as a cash cow, to upgrade an injured player or to use with a late trade.

I have the same problem except i have 7 trades left,
so should be able to play this ploy this week or next.

I have McNamara and Myers on the bench in the mids, so seemingly no need to make the trade. I was, however, thinking of downgrading Myers to a 90k player (maybe Collins, Eddy or Dangerfield) and upgrading SDT to Goddard.

Depends on whether SDT gets a game this week.

Whilst its probably a moot point now...if they've identified a hot spot in his foot and arnt in finals contention after the next 2 weeks then kiss him bye for the entire season. Isnt worth the risk and foot injuries esp stress fractures can take 12 mths in bad cases and recurr. No point playing him for high risk and no gain so dont expect him back till 09.

Totally agree he is done. Stress fractures take time and are a right pain in the ass or in this case foot.

I havent been on the case for a bit with a massive workload.

Having Myers in my team, I can now use this opportunity to trade him in for a rookie and then upgrade Ebert or Cotchin to a gun mid.

What rookie backmen arer about atm?

I realise I am being lazy, but damn these dying people don't give me much time!
