It has taken him a while, but I really think he makes a great captain. He leads from the front, is always encouraging the boys and generally we lift around our captain when he does something good.

It has been really pleasing to see him come along in this role, and it's just a great feeling knowing that finally we have a true full forward who can continually dominate games. Heck, against the Eagles, he didn't real do a terrible lot, but was still able to boot 4 goals and he stood up when needed, much like any captain should.

A Coleman Medal and AA honours would be cap off a great year for our captain!

I have always said he was the right choice for Captain, and everyone seemed to disagree with me. In saying that, I have been critical at times of him, have said many a time he should play down back, but he is going along nicely. When he fires, Melbourne generally win.

Actually, you are spot on there! An even bigger reason to have the boys fired up - there captain plays his 200th and that sniff of September is so strong in the air!
