I know Rodan and i am quite suprised because he does not have an inflated ego and has a really good work ethic. He is not a dud! He won the morish medal 2 years in a row so he has all the right accolades if he gets the right opportunities.

guys im just wondering your thoughts on the form of Ian Callinan from tasmania he is much like roden yet has the capacity to go into, the midfield JJ LISTON MEDAL WINNER , and club champion in tassie this year.

Callinan is a better player than Rodan. His skills are much higher on both sides of his body and he just as quick. Also much better goal sense. He will be drafted but sadly I don't think to Richmond although I'd love to see him there. I hear Hawks are the front runners.

Let him go.. He earnt good money all through 2005 and did nothing for us. If he cant accept he is paying back some of that cash by going on a 1-year reduced salary, then good riddens.

Yes he did, and then went on to spend a season getting paid 150k+ for doing nothing.

I wouldnt have a problem with that if he wasnt having a cry because we are only offering him a smaller 1 year contract.

He's in a very similar situation to what Tuck was in last year.

Rodan has proved nothing, and when it's time for payback..he goes running.

He has been paid on potential for a few years now and we are offering him a 1 year reduced deal, simply if he performs well this year, Richmond will repay him with a nice contract next year.

I like the fact Richmond are playing hardball and not giving unproven players large contracts.
