Yeah I call bulldust. Anyway it's footy, for anything we think we get "right", there's probably gonna be a bunch of other things we get wrong.

The smug and arrogant revisionism really is unnecessary.
Here you go. Thy can refresh his memory too.

Okay so this won't make for pleasant reading but an ex Carlton player is in my workplace right now and I had a good 15 minute chat with him today. He was on our list this season. I asked questions and these were his responses

- him and other players would come out of team meetings and not know what the game plan was. Too complicated.
-in simple terms it was get it from half back to forward quick
-can't rely on curnow or McGovern to be the answer up forward
- his previous coach had a much better football knowledge
- bolts is easy to communicate with
- bolts plays favourites with the leadership group and certain young kids eg fisher
-would call out people on tape for mistakes but gloss over those of his favourites
- what was being physically demanded wasn't always possible ie why can't you sprint as far and as fast in the 4th as the first
-bolts lives and breathes footy. If you as a player didn't he'd get the shits with you.
- old fitness coach was a pushover and was a yes man to bolts. Reckons new guy will be much better as he has more balls
- bolts had them doing too much physical work 1or 2 days out from games resulting in too many corkies, sore shoulders and bodies.
-didn't think training loads were managed well
- wondered why the defensive teams would also practice dribbling goals from 15-20m out
-all the sh*t blokes have been moved on from the club. Dropped Kristian Jaksch name.

Most of this came across as pretty grim to me sadly. Said player was very open and didn't come across as bitter either. Just knew his time was up.

Champ I couldn't give a rat's. You should be embarrassed being the only arseclown still banging on about Bolts. No-one cares. But you've timed your stay in the dungeon well. Next week we're heating the gruel.

Whatever ******. I've made a post with genuine inside information that was validated. You keep thinking you're right though. You're one of the lamest posters on this board and it's clear this is what your life revolves around. Champ.

Big one for Dave today. Boys need to start well of course.

I've reported your post. No-one calls me 6 asterisks......

It is a great feeling that somehow my club, in a roundabout way, finally has a more than competent coach. Finally!!

I seriously haven't felt this confident about our head coach since Parko back in the late 90s, 2 full decades ago.

Just watching how he handled the press conference last night shows what a quality manager he is. Answers the questions superbly, but doesn't give anything away. Does it beautifully.

And I haven't forgotten about Craig Hutchison either, he who tried to sell the prospect last year of Teague being a much better fit at North than the Blues (what??). North can have Shaw, we are on the Teague train. Choo choo!!

Have to say off the bat I do like Mr T. One thing that can erk me about him and it more to do with me than him is his cool as cucumber approach. Just seems nothing fazes him ... and when things are not going the teams way and they go to the coaches box and you seem him non paused and non flustered .... I go friggen bananas 🤯

Makes me question him as a coach and write some heated lines in the match day thread which I regret later.

I will admit it was nice seeing him a bit hot under the collar at three quarter time yesterday.

just want to say again it’s more a failing of mine than his .... he has done brilliantly this year and if we had had the luck with Melbourne and Port and not dropped our bundle against the Hawks my God we would be 9-3!

This year was all about realising we are close and building momentum and as Cripps said last night “we’re back”!

Just take a second to reflect on this.

After 12 rounds last year we were 1-11, 2 games clear at the bottom of the ladder, we looked like a dispirited rabble and we sacked our coach.
After 12 rounds this year, we are 6-6, just outside the 8, the team looks unified and happy (Crippa's face after the last 2 wins says it all) and our coach is looking like a winner, setting good standards and has shown tactical nous.

Some will criticise his use of senior players, but it's exactly what we needed and will actually help the youngsters develop by winning and making them earn it imo. Plus this year we've gotten games into Pitto/TDK/Walsh/Willo/Cottrell/Honey/Setterfield/Kennedy/Gibbons so development has definitely occurred still.

How things can change...we've come a long way under Teague in only a year.

Funny how we rate people who stay cool under pressure but others want their coach tearing at the wall panels.

Agreed judge a coach on results-It's a winning business and he has taken us from a win % of less than 10 to 50%.
I think the next 2 games will really illuminate where he is at.
3 wins in a row when a season is live is a mental hurdle for this group to overcome self satisfaction and to attain an elite performance. Teague needs a snr assistant and replacements for Barker and Bruce. The replacements need premiership experience

I don't recall Mr T ever staying cool under pressure

Probably depends what type of person you are .... if you are a break the remote type supporter u probably like a coach who shows passion and visa versa. Monkey see, monkey do, monkey approve.

I don’t think from a premiership standpoint it matters. Although really successful coaches seem to b3 more Argo than cool as a cucumber .... Clarkson, Dimma, Scott, Parko, Malthouse, Mathews were all hotheads .... Woosha, Longmuir, Roos were relatively cool.

We win the next 2 and it’s 4 on the Trott, can’t remember when we looked good for 4 in a row!

In a real war, when things aren't going your way, would you want the General in charge to be cool as a cucumber or going bananas? I know which type of leader I would rather serve under.

Maybe the team is playing much better now because our leader actually knows what he is doing and doesn't need to go crazy.

The best leaders save sprays for the few times they are needed, lest the playing group tunes out.

This is the difference between a good coach getting constant improvement out of his players and a shit coach with no idea. Had a teaching degree though.

Completely agree .... that is what calms my nerves ..... my only gripe with Teague’s coaching at the moment is his use of SPS in defence for this long. Don’t understand it .... he has been damn good other than that.

Great coaches are only ever great because of the talented players at their disposal

Teague is playing to our strengths, more mature players in the side and or in pivotal roles.

Teams of great playing talent only truly realise their full potential when lead by good to great coaches. Rarely does poor coaching still yield excellent on-field results.

Teams with great playing talent but clueless coaching can quickly disintegrate as players look to take their talents elsewhere. And we were in that boat last year with Mr. Green Shoots.

Teague playing to our strengths and utilising the full list, including our mature players, is good coaching. Winning games is the best teacher of all. At the same time he is not ignoring the younger aspects of our list, the slow blooding of De Koning and Williamson is how successful teams do it.

This is the first time since Parko's second run that I feel our head coach is no longer a liability. Twenty friggin' years!!
