Oh !#$@#%@#%!
Take care big fella.

Take the time and get it right. :(

Go Catters

Would love to rest Hmac next week, I felt that Daws would've come in no matter the result tonight. Interesting times ahead.

Well , we are no down to no choice for rucks. One brittle ruckman down, and another having to be played. Yep great
WAtch the Grundy fans come out of the woodwork now….
Rearview mirror work ahead….

Go Catters

I fear for his long term future.... 3 lots of back surgery for a 25 year old...

Daws being able to lift your kids up in 10 years time is more important than footy...

I think he's done...

Time to find two new ruckman. Just go and buy someone, we have persevered and as much as I like DS perhaps his time is up.

We should go after McEvoy in a trade ha. He won't be happy after being dropped for tonight and it doesn't look like he'll be back anytime soon with Ceglar playing well.

If McIntosh goes down we're screwed. Imagine Blitz rucking solo all finals!
Imagine if HMc goes down, and we have Brown CHF, Blic and Walker as rucks.
This could be reality.
Stranger things have happened.

What is Simpson's contract status? As mentioned above, I would think both for his own sake and the club looking forward that this could well be the end of the road for him - his long term health is more important then trying to get back on the park, 3 lots of back surgery is not great and has he at any stage of his career got through a whole season (vfl included) without a significant injury?

Good luck to Simpson in his recovery, but might be time for the big guy to have a serious think about his future.

Depends on the severity of the surgery, but we have not seen his best this year, so makes your comments easier to say, as the team and medicos etc are professional enough to discern his viability as a player.
Otherwise it should be curtains for all of Vardy, Menzel and Simpson.

Unknown. I don't think we would delist him given our thin ruck stocks (unless we could get a very good ruck in trade week, even then I still think they'd give him 1 more year) but it has gotten to the point where we can't bank on him or Vardy coming back with their injury issues, it has to be a bonus but not something we plan the list around. So with next year possibly being Hamish's last, we need to bring in a ready to go ruckman at the end of this year.

2013 was Simpson's final year of a contract so I assume he signed for two (2014/2015).

This is what Scott said after the knee injury last season

"I'd just like to reinforce to Dawson in particular that our club, especially in recent times, has a very good record of looking after those players who do the right thing and live the right values, and have some bad luck.
"So we'll certainly stand by Dawson."

So, if the docs clear him, we won't be discarding him.

Witness also, of course, Menzel and (hopefully) Cowan.
