WAtch the Grundy fans come out of the woodwork now….Well , we are no down to no choice for rucks. One brittle ruckman down, and another having to be played. Yep great
I think he's done...I fear for his long term future.... 3 lots of back surgery for a 25 year old...
Daws being able to lift your kids up in 10 years time is more important than footy...
Time to find two new ruckman. Just go and buy someone, we have persevered and as much as I like DS perhaps his time is up.
Imagine if HMc goes down, and we have Brown CHF, Blic and Walker as rucks. If McIntosh goes down we're screwed. Imagine Blitz rucking solo all finals!
Depends on the severity of the surgery, but we have not seen his best this year, so makes your comments easier to say, as the team and medicos etc are professional enough to discern his viability as a player. What is Simpson's contract status? As mentioned above, I would think both for his own sake and the club looking forward that this could well be the end of the road for him - his long term health is more important then trying to get back on the park, 3 lots of back surgery is not great and has he at any stage of his career got through a whole season (vfl included) without a significant injury?
Good luck to Simpson in his recovery, but might be time for the big guy to have a serious think about his future.

This could be reality.
Stranger things have happened.

2013 was Simpson's final year of a contract so I assume he signed for two (2014/2015).
