Haven't done one of these since the Gibbs / Selwood draft of 3 years, so keep that in mind, but I do try to follow it every season, so here's my crack at it (only doing the 3 rounds);
1. MEL - Tom Scully
Pretty obvious, been compared to Ben Cousins, great speed, excellent gut runner, good skills both sides of the body, instant 200 game player.
2. MEL - Jack Trengove
Has peformed great at SANFL's, especially when it counted, excellent beep test, good powerful midfiedler, been compared to Buckley. Melbourne get 2 guns to add to a good young developing midfield.
3. RICH - Dustin Martin
Everyone knows this one is locked in, Martin has elite foot skills which Richmond are crying out for. Don't know if he will be better than Morabito who has the more potential IMO, but Martin is the safer pick, and will at least become an above average midfielder at the AFL level.
4. FRE - Anthony Morabito
Morabito's been compared to Goodes, and will fit in very nicely at Subiaco with his ability to run and carry at his size. Although he didn't interview well with Harvey apparently, I can't see them passing up another local boy after they hit on Hill at #3 last season.
5. NM - Ben Cunnington
Been compared to Jimmy Bartel, and North need to add to their midfield as they are pretty set key position wise with Hansen, Thompson etc. Again like Martin, more of a safer upside, and probably not as much upside as say Rohan, but he'll be a very good player nonetheless.
6. SYD - Gary Rohan
I actually think Butcher would be the better choice here as he'd fit in very well at the SCG, but they already have Johnson and White, so they'll go with Rohan here, who is an excitement machine. May take a little while to develop fully, but his tenacity and defensive efforts should win over the Sydney fans quickly.
7. WC - Brad Sheppard
Late mail today with WC likely to pick Sheppard not instead of Jetta. Probably more of a safer pick, but he'll add to a good HB line with the likes of Shannon Hurn. Local boy also which helps.
8. PA - John Butcher
Port get their Tredrea replacement with Butcher here. Kicking needs work, and didn't have a good season, but his overall talent is top 5 IMO, and he could end up being a real steal here if he can fully develop.
9. PA - Kane Lucas
Tougher choice here, but went with Lucas. WA boy, hard runner good skills and will add to Port's midfield mix nicely.
10. ESS - Jake Melsham
Essendon seem to be all over Melksham here. Good inside player which will really help Watson, and performed fantastically at the TAC GF. Should have enough pace to go with the quick brand of footy Ess play also.
11. MEL - Aaron Black
They'd love Butcher to slide here, but they'll go with Black instead. Been rising up the draft boards, some may think it's a reach, but he's good speed for a KP, and with Jurrah and Watts, Melb have 3 good young talls to build their forward line around.
12. CAR - Daniel Talia
Carlton get another KP player at this spot. Talia supports the club, and would give the Blues the flexibility to push Waite forward if they want. Good solid choice here.
13. ADE - Lewis Jetta
Jetta falls to 13 after being locked in at #7 for the past few weeks. Has excellent athletic ability which will fit into Craig's game plan, and gives them another small forward to add with the Porpoise.
14. SYD - Jasper McMillan-Pittard
Good HBF prospect, and altohugh Sydney have quite a few of those, McMillan-Pittard could play midfield also if need be. Left footer and has a terrific footy brain.
15. WB - Andrew Moore
Gets harder here, but decided to follow the Burger and went with Moore here. Been compared a little to the likes of Otten and Murphy, and they seem to love those athletic type of players down at the Kennel. Excellent leap, and could play in year one, which I think the Dogs will like as they are going for it this season.
16. PA - Luke Tapscott
Most have the Power taking Vardy here, but I think Port has a good enough young ruck prospect in Matthew Lobbe, and they can take a ruckman in the pre-season or rookie draft if need be. Tapscott's a local boy, been compared to Rich and has a great left foot. Good solid choice here.
17. GEE - Callum Bartlett
Have the Cats taking Bartlett to add some more midfield pace and be a replacement for Wojcinski after this season. Left footer, been compared to Luke Power would hope he doesn't become the next Aaron Fiora though.
18 - MEL - Nathan Vardy.
The Demons will snap up Vardy if he drops here, otherwise they'll go with Ball IMO. Only 198cms, but a terrific vertical leap, and could pinch hit in key positions up the ground if needed. Don't know if he's a top 20 talent, but he's the best ruckman of a shallow group.
19 - RICH - Jake Carlisle.
Key position prospect who many have going around this range. Think Richmond still need a good key forward to help out Morton and Riewoldt, and Carlise fits the bill potentially.
20 - FRE - Koby Stevens.
May surprise some people, but he's a similar prospect to Nic Suban who they took around here last season, and they need to add some more grunt and hardness to their midfield. Big tackler, and he's exactly what they need to add to their midfield.
21 - NM - Ryan Bastinac.
Could get in the first round easily, but slides down to here, and the Roos will snap him up. Good foot skills, excellent beep test, very good solid prospect, and adds to the Roos young midfield mix.
22 - WC - Nat Fyfe.
HF prospect, who performed great in the WAFL GF. Only 73 kgs so need to hit the weight room, but the Eagles would like another mid sized forward so they can move Lecras to the midfield.
23 - WC - Gerrick Weedon.
Another local boy and another forward prospect, has terrific defensive pressure with a good set of skills. Probably more ready to go than Fyfe I'd say from year one.
24 - ESS - Troy Taylor.
Bit of a surprise, but the Bombers don't mind taking the indigenous player, and Taylor has a lot of upside. Could become the next Daniel Motlop if things go well enough.
25 - NM - Allen Christensen.
Once again another midfielder for the Roos, but Christensen can also play a bit up forward if needed. Needs to work on his disposal, but knows how to find the footy well enough.
26 - ESS - Luke Ball.
Will break Collingwood's heart here. Dunno if long - term it's the right choice, but with Melksham, Essendon just got a whole lot tougher in the middle and the clearances.
27 - BRIS - Daniel Menzel.
If Ball slid to 27, I'd say they'd take him, but in this he doesn't so they go with Menzel. SA boy, can play all over the ground for a mid sized player and has excellent disposal.
28 - GEE - Ben Griffiths.
Geelong take their tall player here and not in the 1st round. Griffiths has battled injuries, but is big for a KPP at 199 cms, and with Hawkins and Mitch Brown, the Cats should be fine for a forward line down the line. Could go earlier but have him slipping.
29 - ADE - James Craig.
KP / ruck prospect, who's a local boy, has an excellent vertical leap and they seem pretty locked into him here.
30 - COL - Josh Thomas.
Have heard enough from COL supporters on the main board that he is the next big thing, but we shall wait and see. Good inside midfielder, similar to Beams I guess, and has good kicking skills.
31 - WB - Jordan Gysberts.
Slides down to here, prob should go mid 2nd round potentially earlier, so the Dogs will be happy. Clean handiler, has good disposal skills, and will add to the mix nicely.
32 - STK - Max Gawn.
Probably a shock, but Lyon loves his ruckman, and he loves them to be big. Gawn is that at 208cms, and with King only having 1 year left, I think they need another ruckman. Will be interesting to see if he's the next Sandilands.
33 - ESS - Majak Daw.
I think Essendon will take at least 1 KPP, and it'll be Daw who's they've been linked with. From Sudan and a decent KPF, and with question marks over Gumbleton and Neagle still, doesn't hurt to give them another option.
34 - MEL - Dylan Grimes.
Melb take Jack's brother here. Another KP defender with they probably have enough of, but gives them flexibility to move the likes of Garland forward potentially.
35 - RICH - Mitch Duncan.
Could go earlier at 22 or 23 to WC, but decided to put him here. Another midfielder from WA been compared to Embley and has good leadership skills which the Tigers need and Hardwick would like that I'd say.
36 - FRE - Travis Colyer.
Attacking WA midfielder with blinding pace, been compared to Brent Harvey and could go earlier so represents value here.
37 - NM - Ayden Kennedy.
From my area in Wantirna South, speedy key position forward, and with question marks over Tarrant's shoulders holding up, he's a pretty good fit here.
38 - SYD - Anthony Long.
Skillful sort of player, good vertical leap can play as a midfielder or a running half back, and Sydney seem to want those type of skillful players now.
39 - HAW - Sam Reid.
Younger borther of Ben Reid, the Hawks need a key defender to replace Croad and Campbell. They seem the likes those defenders who can rebound well, and Reid has excellent speed off the mark, so he should fit in nicely.
40 - GEE - Joe Dare.
From the Geelong Falcons, a young clone of Darren Milburn basically. Zones off, excellent reader of the play and although not quick, not a lot of the Geelong back 6 are.
41 - NM - Jesse Crichton.
Good hard tackling midfielder, fits the Brad Scott mould from Tasmania. Has good vision and awareness also.
42 - GEE - Jack Fitzpatrick.
The Cats take a ruckman to replace Mumford. Great speed for his size and a good mark, but only 85KGS, so need a few years to develop.
43 - CARL - Dylan Robertson.
Another rebounding defender, reads the play well and has excellent endurance, perfect HB flanker going forward.
44 - RICH - Ryan Harwood.
Inside midfielder from Tasmania, with excellent agility. Will help the likes of foley in the clearances going forward.
45 - ADE - Jack Gunston.
Excellent size at 191 cms for a flanking sort of player who can play on talls or smalls. Have a feeling they'll hope he'll be the next Corey Enright.
46 - HAW - Christian Howard.
Dashing sort of player with excellent foot skills. One recruiter said he'd got top 30 according to Burgo, don't see that happening, but represents good value here.
47 - BRIS - Liam Patrick.
Very exiting prospect in the mould of Jurrah, and the Lions probably need to add that sort in with Fevola and Brown. Boom or bust selection.
48 - FRE - Matthew Dea.
Has explosvie pace which you need at Subiaco, and has a lot of room for growth considering he hasn't been playing footy for long.
49 - FRE - Matthew Panos.
Could easily go 2nd round, but have him sliding to the end of round 3. The Dockers need a key forward prospect with Pavlich getting older, and Panos represents excellent value at 49. Excellent kick and mark player, but needs to add speed and defensive efforts to his game.

Everyone knows this one is locked in, Martin has elite foot skills which Richmond are crying out for. Don't know if he will be better than Morabito who has the more potential IMO, but Martin is the safer pick, and will at least become an above average midfielder at the AFL level.
