The game plan isn't handball to flat footed players under more pressure than you, it's an execution problem.

If there's a coaching problem, then it's getting the players to execute. Not the gameplan.

But the problem is, we know it isn't working right now, so why is it being persisted with?

Ok, we have a butt load of injuries, confidence is down. Go back to basics before trying the game plan again. Its like hitting your head against the wall. How many times must you do it before you realise it hurts?

In my eyes, we must have the ability to switch to a Man Defense mid game.

When our zone stops working, switch to a man and plug 1 loose defender.

I just think we've got too many players who simply aren't good enough in traffic to execute the gameplan. It looks great when Mackay comes streaming through the middle, but for every one time we see that, we're seeing several more where we cough it up through lack of skill, athleticism and/or footy smarts. As a team, our decision making in traffic is simply balls. Geelong have a whole bunch of elite smalls capable of pulling off a handball happy gamplan. We don't and we look ****ing ridiculous for it.
