DeBoer vs. Barlow

I guess they'll have to work on their deficiencies at training and make sure their WAFL form is top notch.

Webster, McManus and Cook spent plenty of time in the WAFL then were able to slot straight in when required.

True. We don't have too many options in this regard.
Barlow does worry me if he isn't upgraded. From all reports, and from the awards he received, he has been dominant at VFL level.
So he will either tear it up at WAFL level and win a Sandy or fall back to the WAFL level.
Obviously, I am hoping for the former, but it is a concern for me at least.

can play back and forward. i just thing its time we start developing a succession to taz and mcpharlin

Could not agree more KPR. How is Robertson coming along physically? I hear that he is going along very well in all other areas. The one thing that would prevent him from getting experience would be the size for the time being.

Silvagni is ready but has the hurdle of Rookie Status to overcome. Upskilling Robertson is an option in the meantime. Perhaps a little later in the season?

Weren't you just having a go at someone else for not spelling our players' names right?

They certainly did, the difference is that when they slotted in were they able to make a real difference? All three players gave all that they had and are loved for it. Skills and pace are another thing entirely.

Fremantle FC are gearing towards faster, more skilled players. Hill, Suban, Morabito etc. The players that are going to be waiting in the wings will be required to not only play well, they will need to be skilled, fast and beat their direct opponent.

Damn you little s! Damn you straight to Hell. LOL

So it's funny when you do it, but worthy of abuse when someone else does?
mmmmkay:o

And your post in reply to Dominguez was worthy hyperbole, but had sweet f*** all to do with what he and I were talking about.

Fair point, but not everyone in the 22 is expected to be a match winner. Barlow could be someone who spends 6 or 7 years on the list but doesn't make it to 100 games because he's always a fringe player, which is fine aslong as he fills a role when selected.

If Barlow's filling Solomon's role in 2012 I'll be happy. In 4 years time he'll be one of our older players assuming he's still on the list.

Dominguez, I feel that both Barlow and Silvagni will be elevated at the end of the 2010 season if they continue to show strong form. At present there are players on the seniors list that will not be there in 2011.

Players like BOB, Murphy, Thornton and Hinkley are going to have to produce to maintain their position. The rookie list is bursting with talent and currently players like De Boer are far superior to BOB.

I too believe that there is a great possibility in improvement with our Rookie players. The question remains. Will they get an opportunity in 2010 to show it?

Im excited about our depth!!!!!Prefered mids: Hill Suban Palmer Morabito Mundy Hase2nd options: Ibbotson, DeBoer, Pav, Ballas, Mcphee3rd Options. Barlow and Mayne.
