Biggest problem for me is the fact we are still questioning it in the pre season 2015. Something that hasn't been errectfied but we were all told would be.

There are drugs to help with the errectifying issue

Decision making. Add confidence and composure and you'll get improvement in disposal. Won't make someone who is below average elite but there will be improvement. Jose Watson a case in point.

I take the OP to mean ...

What would you rather have ...

A good decision maker with average skills? (Eg: Marley Williams)

Or an average decision maker with good skills? (Eg: Simon Buckley)

I'd take the good decision maker.

The good decision maker will understand their own limitations and work within them.

The average decision maker has the ability to drill a perfectly weighted kick lace out to an opposition player directly in front of goal 40 meters out. The player with averge skills will kick the same ball out of bounds on the full at the player interchange gate.

Big Deal beams did this religiously about half the time he had the ball, no one seemed to notice or care. for that matter most AFL players do it, to get out of a jam. David King seems to remind us all that the this will be the storey of the pies in 15, Fact is when the side is constantly changing due to injury players, players are called up from the VFL, or seniors coming back from injury with no touch or form, the disposal efficiency stats can seem that, the team is full of butchers. Just would love to see the team settled with a good mix of experience and youth with a balanced mix of player's in positions that require flexibility. Only then we will see Bucks shine and the club on top where we belong. I don't read to much into the poor disposal thing lets just wait and see 2015 unfold without the media putting fear into us dreading the season ahead. FFS David King would be winning lotto every week if he could see the future. 2015, I feel will see the haters and the sceptic's rethinking about the shit they come with, about the pies.
Not sure what you are on about.

Well said, that is what I thought the OP was referring to, totally agree with the bold.

I'd be interested to hear you name those terrible kicks.

Blokes below are not great kicks and Toovey would be one of the worst in the comp

Toovey

Adams
Brown
Sinclair
Williams
Swan
Greenwood
Thomas
Cloke - Set shots

Since playing down back i actually think Sinclair has improved his kicking a bit.
Adams goes sometimes for to much which makes him a bad kick
Swan i would take off, people get sucked in the he has 3 -4 bad kicks. but given he get 30 - 40 touches a game as a % he really isn't that bad and infact since 2009 you would be surprised to know that he has the same disposal effeciency as G Ablett.

I think we could trim that list in half in year.

Williams trade.
Sinclair delist.
Swan (retire maybe)
Thomas trade/delist
Toovey (retire maybe)

I do remember one kick in the 2012 Q final v Hawthorn of his down back that was turned over and ended any hope for us. So it's been going on down back for some time.

This from Goodyears’s Bio:

Rarely fazed by the occasion, he is a great decision-maker. His kicking still needs work, but the Magpies are excited by his scope for improvement

So Goodyear can make Good Descions but when he Disposes of it. It might be a tad off

TD, you left the last sentence off his bio.....'But the Magpies are excited by his scope for improvement'.
He hasn't played a game yet, surely you're going to give him opportunity TD, instead of harping on about his kicking all the time! As you know I'm an unabashed fan of his, as I am of all our draftees. But like all young 18 year olds, they have things to work on. If its reported that he's not working hard to perfect that part of his game, then Ill be dissapointed, until then I'm going to back him in.
