Ok, there's one very small but clear problem I have. And unfortunately it is with Luke Jackson.

He had a couple shots on really tight angles and for some reason he decides to kick a drop punt with maybe a 5-10% chance of going through instead of left foot snap or banana which would be way higher. Two very easy goals cost from stupidity in the set shot.

He played very well bar that though. Love him

Brayshaw....
I thought he was good but at what point was he clutch?
Missing a snap in front or kicking it to Andrews by himself in the square both in the last.
He was gutsy but not clutch

You’re so young haha. Next gen. Most of us are thrilled he went the drop punt.

Does he have a left? Our best goal kicker doesn’t have a right, so genuine question.

Not to tickle your balls for no reason but Brisbane were the team that scared me most coming in. No doubt in my mind you can beat Port in a prelim if you get past the semi.
Depends on McStay from here, no Hipwood and no McStay means we only have big Joe as a big target, too late to change our whole game plan.

I think we will bounce back next week if it’s at the Gabba, Port in Adelaide will be hit and miss. I don’t want to play you guys in the grand final though, we don’t run two ways and it’s not gonna change in 3 weeks time.

Is port playing

Any player on an AFL list should be able to kick a left foot snap from 20 metres out or a preferred snap from 35. Frustrates me how many times players try to drop punt, it's all about angles, give yourself the maximum amount of space to aim for.

I'd love to know how we do It, but it's amazing how many times teams have huge goal scoring quarters against us and we immediately adjust defensively the next quarter.
It's gotta be more than just 'more pressure' we must be able to roll around match ups to quash the damage
Goody jumps on the headset and pipes through "Stick to our #DNA boys, remember your #learnings"

BANG Manchurian candidate and we revert to a footy team

I created this account a few years ago because I had to share my disgust with Mitch Clarke wanting to leave the club. I've been lurking for a long long time but tonight I want to share my love with you guys, the die-hard Melbourne fans. We still have two games to win but I've never felt so confident in my 34 years of watching this club.

No one over the age of 18 agrees with you. Good on him taking the pressure of the drop punt

Just doesn't make sense though, your odds are so much worse with a drop punt than a banana or snap. If he snaps those two shots I'd back him in that he makes at least one.

The way I think about it is that past a approximate 60 degree angle you snap or banana it. Maximum chance.

His first kick it was correct to go the drop punt. Second kick would have been easier with a snap.

These old guys don’t understand angles

First is up for debate but I'd go left foot snap there, really close to goal. You make that 8/10. 2nd one is a snap all the time, don't know what he was thinking

True but then Cameron gets alot more ball kicked to him and he ends up kicking 5.
I still think you and Port are 50-50 in a semi. There's alot that looks wrong in a loss that will correct next week.
Andrews played about the worst game I've ever seen. Can't be like that again

Go back through history and tell me how many times Lockett and Dunstall kicked left foot snaps.
Going the snap is for piss weak millenials who can't handle the pressure of the ball drop in a drop punt.

Having 5 different types of shots depending on where you're standing is rubbish. Imagine having to kick after the siren and you've never practiced drop punts on an angle because you take the easy option. It's rubbish.

The longtime lurking dees bigfooty posters that come out of the woodwork and post after a significant win makes me so happy.
