Comrades, you're probably not over the excitement of the history draft yet but nevertheless it's time to focus on the most prestigious prize in football. The fourth edition of Demonbracket begins next Monday, on route to a huge Grand Final on Tuesday 17 February.
For those of you who are new to this or need a recap on what's happened in the past click here to read the preview post. The short version of the rules is:
- Pick whichever player you prefer out of each matchup based on whatever criteria you like. If anybody questions you then deck them.
- You have to pick in a winner in every match, no half votes or "I can't decide". If you don't pick a winner in every match none of your votes from that day count.
- If the Grand Final is a draw a replay shall be held on Wednesday the 18th.
Voting will be open a little bit longer on here than it will be on Twitter, so look out for a post letting you know that polls are open. Results of the previous matches will be provided where applicable (i.e every time other than at the end of day 1.
James Harmes has been the early pace-setter in the player sizzle stakes on Twitter, but Tom McDonald is not far behind. None of the rest give a s**t yet, but it'll be on like King Kong come Monday afternoon.
If you have any questions before the first matches kick off (and FFS don't vote yet) please post and I will try to answer. Media opportunities are available on request.
And a reminder as always that Big Footy is the OFFICIAL forum partner of Demonbracket. We experimented with Demonland during the recent historical bracket competition but this where all the important decisions are made.
