Didn't like the defences called on the last drive.. basically gave them the plays. But still, overall a good game. I think it went almost exactly as planned, based on what the players/coaches said.

Its going to be a slog, we'll have to wear them down and then capitalise. In the last it looked very much like we'd broken the defence while ours was still stout.

Thank baby jeebus for this D... gave the Jets nothing all game.
And we'll file the rest of the game away in the drawer that says never to be looked at again
Went to bed at 3.45am after the game, up again at 7.30am to get ready for work and now need a nap to get through lol

Small things are killing us, and Bo is part of it.

For example, sliding after rushing 9 yards when he very, very easily could have got 11 or 12 - At worst the first down. It's not the first time I've seen him do exactly that. In this instance Dobbins was stopped on 2nd down, then 2x penalties on 3rd took a 3rd and inches back to a 3rd and 15. You've got to make sure you slide past the sticks when you've got that much space, Bo. That small attention to detail cost us a drive.

Those sorts of errors across the offense, not just Bo, seem to creep up most weeks. In AFL terminology, small 1%ers that we're just missing.

Lucky the D doesn't make the same small errors that stack up. Hufanga has been an elite pick up so far.

Plus I think Dre Greenlaw comes off IR this week!

Some of the holds by the O-Line were awful too... don't need to be doing it.
It's easy for us to say I know, but having played the position myself locally I got flagged several times for holds and it's all about technique. Granted I didn't play against NFL quality DLs/LBs but still there's improvements to be made.

Some of the calls by the refs/review team baffled me. I didn't see much difference between the two fumbles in regards to what constitutes a football action. The one against us on Franklin seemed to be pushed through rather quickly and handed over to the Jets. The one which we looked to have recovered seemed to have been scrutinized much closer and ultimately overturned because he didn't take a third step! C'mon...

I saw it.. and I still don't quite understand how we got away with that victory.
Very Tebow-esque game... absolute zero for 3 qtrs, and then come alive in the last with 33 pts to win after the game seemingly out of reach on multiple occasions.

I thought we ballsed it up on defense. Giving up that 4th and 19... gross.

But clutch by Bo and co. to go again. I think he's was going for Sutton on that catch by Mims but who cares

Probably a little inflated after that 4th qtr vs giants....what was it before?
Fair point. He's had 3 4th qtr comebacks/game winning drives in the 5 wins so far, so I think it's a trend though I'm sure the Giants game does inflate it as well - particularly the TDs.

Good to watch... offense was attacking down the field.
Happy with that result
Felt like Paytons normal 2nd half play calling... but all game. Weird what happens when you aren't unnecessarily cautious for the first half.

Despite giving up 24 I think the D was very good, even without PS2 for a half - Some junk time points make it look worse. Hopefully PS2 gets up.

Bo still doing his best Tebow impersonation...

Look I think Payton for some reason calls the game very conservatively until he absolutely has to open it up, at which point suddenly the offense roars to life. I thought the same thing when Wilson was the QB tbh, he calls a very, very bland offense for 80% of the game then when forced bring out the good plays. Maybe that's not right but doesn't seem that far off across his tenure.

Tbh as frustrating as it is, maybe letting the Defence do their thing for 3 qtrs and not losing the game on offense, then pinching the game in the 4th isn't a horrible idea. It's a difficult watch, as you'd love to see a few more easy wins and some fun offense, but the formula seems to work. Fwiw, Bo needs to find a way to lose that ~1 INT a game groove he's set. Hasn't really hurt us yet but against a team like the Chiefs, it will. Especially if you're playing the safe on offense, shut em down on defence mentality. Giving them extra possessions will end that quickly.

Gross game. Just terrible.

In the off-season we need to stack up the offense. I know we're still a little hamstrung with the dead money but once that's free'd up, unless we lose a key piece or 2 on defence, we need to spend it almost entirely on offense.

We desperately need at least 2 receiving targets, maybe even 3. A tight end, a slot and a WR1.

Franklin maybe could be the slot, who knows. But a good receiving TE and a stud #1 receiver are absolute musts. Sutton is ok but as WR2 is what he should be, he's not a 1 but would be a great 2nd.

Burn the tape of the Offense today! Special teams too (besides the blocked punt).
The D was awesome again however.
I read that we didn't practice at all this week after nursing quite a few players through following the Texans game, and only did non-pad walkthroughs. It really showed in this game.
Got the best part of 10 days now to prepare and get shit sorted for the Chiefs game.

Bye week coming up... time for rest, players coming back after the bye.
In a great position
It's a good rest period for us. Thursday night game last week, so a extra few days rest before this game, then a bye. 1 game in 3 weeks almost, great recovery time.

Parachuting PS2 back into this team will be massive - as is securing the Chiefs win with him out.
