Is anyone managing to buy tickets using the Eagles pre sale? Ticketmaster as usual seems to have gone down.

Awesome thanks! You just saved me hours of sitting at my screen watching it load.

WA TODAY saying it was the Dockers’ decision to suspend the sales today.

The Eagles didn’t even know about it.

I phoned them just after 9am and they had only just found - via Ticketmaster! They had no idea officially why the suspension occurred.

Bloody Dockers. Tickets to their members were still on sale this morning until just before 9am.

Probably didn’t sell enough seats to their own members yesterday and were frightened there would be more Eagles members at the Derby than their own.

I really want to go to the derby and the Pies/Cats game, but part of me thinks it might be wise to sit out this first weekend of mass gatherings and let others be the test cases. Still on the fence for now.

I would have been keen on the Pies/Cats game if it were Friday night. I had a look at tickets earlier today, ended up on some ticket merchant website which I was unfamiliar with, and there's not much under $140ish. I don't know what it usually costs to get into a game but that is a fair bit to watch two random teams go at it.

Holy shit that is a fair sight more than I would be willing to pay! You know how much seriously good beer I could get for that amount.

If they cap the crowd for the derby I suspect they'll let whoever has bought tickets to keep them. It'd mean no eagles members would have been able to buy some. It's going to be a very lopsided crowd.
They've oversold by 10,000 tickets. Classic freo. Now they'll pull on the heart strings of those who miss out to "donate" their ticket.

It's probably the correct decision if you ask me.

If you remove all social distancing requirements in WA, it'd be like setting fire to a tinderbox.

The Fremantle Football Club would like to thank all the WCE fans that bought three game memberships. Unfortunately we cannot give you access to the derby due to the government not going ahead with phase 5.
If in the near future we are able to have full capacity at Optus you will be granted access to these games.
If not, tough t***ies, thanks for your donation to the Fremantle Football Club.

I agree with the sentiment, but in practice, it feels like we've already removed all restrictions. Footy probably wouldn't make much difference, other than looking bad if some new cases happened.

It will be interesting for home games now. I assume members will only get to go to every second game, much less chance of seeing a game.

I think I'll buy a ticket to Cats vs Pies just to get some live footy in.

Families will be able to attend footy’s comeback game at Optus Stadium this month for $60, with the AFL planning to release cheaper Perth tickets for the Geelong-Collingwood blockbuster.
The round seven match, which was today brought forward by 24 hours as part of fixture updates, will be played on Thursday, July 16 at 6.10pm.
The clash is expected to be a sell-out, with the crowd capped at 30,000, and fans are encouraged to pre-purchase tickets. General admission tickets to the Cats-Magpies game won’t go on sale until three days before, at 9am on July 13, but corporate packages are already available.

The cheaper Category 2 tickets will be available for the Geelong-Collingwood match for levels one and five, as well as level three behind the goals at each end. They will be $30 for adults, $25 concession, $15 juniors and $60 for a family of four.
Category 1 tickets, giving access to level two, will be double the cost at $60 for an adult and $120 for a family.
The all-Victorian showdown will offer the chance for fans to purchase premium seats and products, including discounted Sports Lounge tickets for $255, that are normally taken up by long-term corporate supporters of the WA clubs.

Apparently our club has been told none of our members will have an opportunity to buy tickets to this game. Freo are likely to refund tickets sold already and then allow members who have pledged all or part of their membership priority to buy tickets. I'm a bit pissy about that and I do hope we swallow up the seat allocation for both the Collingwood and Geelong games similarly.

Your supporters don’t even buy your memberships why would an eagles fan ... flog
