Thank you Coin Toss for starting this thread.Derek Hine is the emperor of recruiting,lord of trade week,king of national and pre season draft and undisputed ruler of the rookie draft.The one man Collingwood cannot afford to lose over the next decade.Please Eddy sign this man up for ten years ,give him whatever is fair [500k+ a yr] insure that no other
scum team gets a hold of Collingwoods greatest strength.If their is any doubt about how good he is just look at what he has done with Tarrant,Krakouer and Ceglar, genius!

Can't let this thread get lost so time for my two-bobs worth. I remember clearly when we recruited Reid, Brown and Dawes (in that order) in whatever year it was. Reid was out of the blue for me, Brown was a good selection and Dawes was risky given his knee but none the less promising. I've now learnt (like most of us) to pretty much trust whatever Hine says as he rarely gets it completely wrong.

I think he has now passed Clayton as the best recruiter in the land and I can say that because we have a premiership and the Bulldogs / GC don't
