Unbelievable that he won at just 22. He asked why he couldn't be MVP at the start of the season and now here he is.

He definitely deserved the MVP award despite what some people say.

What a humble speech and very emotional when he was speaking about his mother.

Very rare in this day and age that a sportsman with this much ability and success is so humble. Well done!

Don't want to be controversial but Rose is one of the more unworthy MVP winners, simply because the competition this year was tainted by LBJ's taking his talents fiasco. By all rights either Lebron or Dirk should have won MVP ... Btw not saying Rose is a dud, best PG in the game probably, but I am not a fan of PG's winning MVP's generally

Sometimes I think the most worthy winner of the MVP doesn't get it for political or PR reasons, and the safer choice of standout PG gets MVP, case in point 2006 where Kobe was clearly the best player, but Steve Nash got the MVP following Kobe's rape trial ...

I don't like Miami but LBJ has had a pretty damn fine season, and I am convinced that his taking his talents PR disaster cost him votes. But maybe that is a good thing for Miami, Lebron looked pretty damn good today against Boston. I do not thinkthat the media voters should be persuaded by perceived character faults in the candidates, that is why the MVP award is flawed.

In 2006 Kobe wasn't clearly the best player though. Don't be fooled by scoring a lot of points = MVP.
