Yeah, I didn't think they were junk time. Adelaide could have still come at us, but they put the game out of reach for them.

I thought his second quarter goal was crucial for keeping our momentum going.

I'm no fan of Dessie, but 3 goals from an otherwise mediocre game ain't bad. I still won't pin my hopes on him doing it with any regularity.

It's not a massive call at all.
I love watching the guy play, knowone in the history of them game gets me excited like Dessie does.
I loved him from the day Brisbane drafted him and never failed to see a game of his at the Lions. I remember where i was when he kicked his first goal.

He had me jumping up an down like an idiot last night, the guy is just so passionate. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!
More of the same please Dessie.

Des is one of those players who plays well when the team plays well, but when things aren't going well he's no where to be seen.

Having said that I think he'll be a more than handy player this year. Certainly adds class to our forward line.

This comment comes up a lot...

I'm no fan of Des, but given he's always played as an outside-midfielder/half-forward it's not surprising that he has poor games when Fremantle play poorly. Given how hopeless Fremantle has been since he's been at the club it's also not surprising that he's viewed as a bit of a disappointment.

Gav is pretty spot on with his comments. If DJ was a 5th round rookie pick he'd be a fan favorite.

It wouldif it was running around like a Maserati before you bought it and then decided to become a Ford Pinto.
LOL.

What if it was always a Ford Pinto only it had a really, really good - perhaps a 3 x Le Mans winning - support crew working on it before you bought it, then you started getting it tuned at Dodgey Bro's Automotive?

Unless ofcourse it lost the ability to run like a Maserati because of the environment it was placed in. Much easier looking like a Maserati when you are surrounded by Maseratis. It's a lot different when you are placed in between a bunch of slow Datsuns; you stand out and cop attention.

First time post on a Freo board - and f*ck that made me laugh

I dislike Headland with the best of them - but the comment made about Des only plays well when Freo plays well can go both ways.

Perhaps when Des plays well, it helps Freo to play well - and not vice versa.
