You can just install TTK and get to 25 which lets you begin the missions.

As mentioned before I got a Titan stuck on lvl 28 and a warlock on 12.. Guess I'll find out the changes in the light system once everything finished installing in about 5 hours

The dupes are annoying but not useless. I'm going to use them to infuse legendaries up to around the 290 level required for the raid.

I'm an idiot, didn't even think of that before dismantling most of them

if anyone is min light level 280 and looking for a chill blind raid we have one spot open. Kicking off about 8pm tonight. The most important thing though is not knowing anything about the raid, at all. If you've watched a stream or read anything about mechanics then it's not going to work. Let me know if you're keen.

finally made a warlock. im going to wait my friend who is just now getting destiny to use the lvl 25 boost tho.
when you use the boost are your sub-classes upgraded as well? what about weapons? not getting any reasonable light weapons wont matter for me but might for my friend.

Subclasses aren't upgraded which is annoying and you get 140 light weapons iirc

Got an exotic engram drop twice got the last word and Hawkmoon, which I'm happy with so it'll keep me going for a bit.

Then again I'm guessing everyone has those two by now lol.

Pity I'm not level 40 yet for the Hawkmoon.

Hopefully I can get to level 40 get some legendary gear and try to get involve in a raid somewhere.

Doing mission in the dreadnought last night where the radar kept leading me back to some giant gorge I couldn't cross. Looked around for probably an hour trying to figure it out.
Turned out a genuine glitch was going on where the jumping bridge just was not spawning. Had to go to orbit & re-start the mission.
I tell you what, at the peak of my confusion & inconsolable emotional state I was ready to throw in the towel on Destiny for good

Shouldn't take too long to get to 40. A days worth of bounties and the main storyline should get you there. After that your light level increases rapidly.

Sure it was a glitch? Those platforms aren't meant to appear until you're basically on them. Otherwise you can see where they are when you pull out your ghost.

I only ask cos I too had problems crossing that gorge until I realised what was going on

Not sure man but it was the level where you are setting up the dreadnought for patrol beacons. Once I did the restart they were forming without me needing to be near them after jumping into a hole countless times for the previous 45 mins or so.
