That's one thing I've often thought. It would be good if things like the kills & death counts actually meant something & there were equivalent rewards. At the moment it is basically meaningless trivia being displayed at the end of every game. It's a fair rustler when someone joins last minute, gets a handful of kills & then gets the best reward.

The frustrating part is how easy this is to implement. Define a bunch of reward parameters based on total kills/strike successes/raid completions/whatever, then set rewards that ONLY drop when these parameters are met. They already have all of the coding there to do it as the Grimoire Cards work exactly the same way.

There's also a way to cheese it so you don't need the chalice to regain health during Crota, did that yesterday aswell for shits and gigs. The Cheese is real.

Agree. I don't like it either but I'm more in the camp of being angry at Bungie than at those that cheese things straight up. The way the game's built, all there is to do in the new DLC is get to level 32 and get gear. The only way to do that is to continuously run the same raid over and over until you get lucky and get enough weapon/armour/shard/energy drops to do so...but why spend this much time when you can just spend marks to get to level 32 when the new DLC comes out? They've gone for longevity over quality and it has to be expected that people will look for shortcuts. I don't blame people for looking for cheeses but I do blame Bungie for a clearly poor testing regime, the inability to create a long-lasting experience without appealing to frustrating upgrade mechanics, and a failure to reward those who play the game for significant hours over those who play casually, get lucky drops and constantly look for shortcuts.

If I get into the Crucible and finish that part yes. I think Higgs Boson might need to kill Xyor too.

This^ solo'ing the Thorn bounty was challenging for myself, being a noob in crucible with light/beware & corrective measure whilst everyone else runs maxed shotguns, thorns & vexes but finishing it off was one of the more rewarding things I've done since I first beat Atheon on hard with our group.

If people who've put in well over 100 hours still don't have Gjallahorn whilst newcomers to the game can get it as their first up exotic the rngesus system in the game clearly has plenty of faults.

Put the most sought out guns like that & icebreaker in an almost impossible exotic bounty & I'm sure plenty of long time Destiny players would go their hardest trying to take out the random aspect of getting one freaking gun.

Pretty handy I'll finish the Bad juju one at pretty much the same time aswell as just finishing the crucible part for invective. Also finished Super good advice bounty last night so has been a productive weekend.

Yeah for sure, if i'm on again tonight & you haven't already found someone to help out i'd be more than willing to jump in & help you kill her again. Spud & Vools helped me out, it could probably be solo'd but it's not your normal lvl 26 strike there's tons of enemies.

Like you i've been pretty sick the last 2 days & with the heat today have a pretty bad headache so i'm just giving it a rest now that i've completed a few daily bounties.
