fortunately the last stage was a doddle for me. I was worried it would take the longest but I literally did it in under an hour last night. Kept swapping from Rift to shorter Mayhem, to try and game Bungie's match-making system. Appeared to work

Golgoroth? Nice work! :)
yeah. It's not bad given we've only been able to play for 4 nights in total I think since it was released. Slow and steady I guess. It's just so damn satisfying to figure it out for yourself.

Does a top 3 in rumble count as a win?

Also have you done the jolly holiday quest? Kinda given up on it for now lol.

No they don't. If it says win you need first place, it will specify when top 3 is enough.

Solo queue is impossible. If you're at all good you will be put with 5 players who can't aim a weapon in the right direction.

Send the lot of them to their own inflatable weapon lobby where they can't harm themselves or others.

I dunno, I was pretty successful when I came up solo against you, Sledge and Olly the other night.

Oh wait no, I tasted balls. Repeatedly.

given I knocked over the quest last night, including that final section in under an hour, it must be one of the rare cases where being a scrub is useful.

I'm confused by this post. What are you trying to say?

I said I don't want to do rumble in case I join in progress and can't peg back the leaders lead in time.

just because he posted under you doesn't mean he is responding to you. The lack of quoting of you is probably another indicator it's nothing to do with you

You got the best of me the first time we ran into each other.

All in good fun my friend :)

But yeah the new matchmaking is messed up. I played for a good 2-3 hours this morning and there was about 3 games where they game me 2 members who went positive.

Which is incredibly painful given this Crucible quest line is all about winning and I'm consistently pulling my weight and then some for nothing.

What everyones choice of primary for trials/iron banner? Still struggling to find my 'it' weapon

Right now I'm persevering with making Red Death work. It seems to be dependable and most of my losses are down to personal skill error.

I'm really looking forward to IB because then I'll see how good it really is given people won't be able to run their Messengers which is still better than Red Death in pretty much every way. Which is hard to get used to, especially if you've been using a Messenger/Hopscotch post 2.0 like I stupidly have.

Right now my 'it' weapon is 1000 Yard Stare, it just feels like home and it probably helps that I haven't got a shotgun that I'm comfortable rocking in IB as of right now.

I've got that suros scout that I've been using I the crucible. Works well. But I did just get the raid pulse rifle so I might change to that.

I don't even know what's good anymore after all the patches. Us scout rifle folk just carry on with our own business. Not ruffling any feathers :)
