I was going to post this question in the George Warlord thread, but thought it’s probably a separate discussion point because there probably be a few different views on this.

The skillset of our future elite midfielders are all unique which makes them very dangerous collectively;

GW - Ballistic, Tough
CM - Electric, Skilled
HS - Composed, Endurance
FO - Balanced, IQ
LDU - Lateral, Gears
PC - Power, Goal sense

Obviously someone like peak Judd, Fyfe or GAJ have nearly all the above traits and rightfully demanded the superstar $’s.

So what $ value would you put on each skill/skillset in the modern game and therefore how would you determine a sufficient contract for each player individually and for our salary cap?..
 
I'd start with working out % of cap for midfielders?

As in what portion do I give to midfield then split up accordingly. You could then use actual salary cap figures to derive $.

I'd imagine midfield probably gets 40% of the cap to allow for the fact most star wages pop up in there.
