I was wondering if anybody knows if we broke the record for the most attended last placed team in history? I think we would have given that one a real shake with the large crowds we had in the last few games.

Yep. We pipped Collingwood's 1999 figure (at least according to the numbers I have which are from the media so might not be official).

Bloody fantasic support and it will onyl go up from here. There is a lot to like about our development right now. My local servo bloke is a mad Sainter and went on Saturday but when I called in yesterday all he could talk about was our kids and how good they are gonna be.

Yep first club in Oz to be seen by a million but that was home and away plus finals.
All the attendances have skyrocketed. Everyone is setting records these last few years - so that has to be taken into account a little.
AFL is the only game in town. Watched the Coburg tape and David King was interviewed. Spoke about playing in front of 8-10,000 when he was with Port Melbourne. Wouldn't get 800-1,500 most weeks now at a VFL game and most of them are there to see their AFL-aligned players.
If Subi held more than 44k and Footy Park more than 48k the crowd records would be obliterated.
