Didak wont be back for a few weeks yet, 1 more week out for Josh hopefully, no idea for Stretch...but once josh and stretch return Fanning will definitely go back to Willy, Walker might get the chop also?

not sure when that will be due to injury. plus i would be giving a couple of guys ONE more chance to show some heart and appreciation for what this club means in terms of tradition, resources and supporter passion. we expect and deserve 100% efforts for 100% of the time.

6 players from our best 22 didn't play yesterday. Fraser, Richards, Didak, Rowe, Maxwell and C. Cloke. For those guys I'd immdediately leave out Fanning, R. Shaw, Williams, O'Bree and Holland. I know that's only 5 outs, but injury would take care of the other one. The incredible thing is that Rowe, Maxwell and Cloke are fit! If MM doesn't play those guys next week I don't know what I'd do.

YIS, i just agreed with you in that other thread you started, but you wanting to drop our fleet of smalls for talls is ludicrous
there is no way Holland should be dropped, our number 1 tagger, rhyce shaw was our best player yesterday, sure he had a few typical stuff ups but he also offered plenty of run and the ability to find the footy on numerous occasions
as for Walker, you cant play him alongside C.Cloke, Maxwell, Richards, Fraser, Rocca, Tarrant, Presti, Wakelin and whoever else may be pushing for selection throughout the year......they just dont all fit
and my preference would be to see Richards and Fraser changing in ruck, with Fraser also playing forward, which means there isnt much room for Walker in the side

think walker will and should hold ahead of wakelin or presti. i prefer presti over wakelin. wakelin is a bloke as slow as a wet week and thinks he is a chris johnson speed demon who sets up the play, just give first option mate and stop tryin to win the game from fb/chb you lack the ability and physical attributes to do so

Didak coming back from knee surgery will not be thrown straight into the middle, Davis drifts in and out of games and cannot play there for long periods and YIS suggested Dutchy gets dropped.
So that leave Licca, Burns, Lockyer.
Shawry was in our top 3 players in every game during the preseason and again performed well in round 1, yet people still want to see him dropped.
Why don't you all get over the past and accept that he is developing into a vital part of our team. There are a lot of guys that should be playing for Willi before him.
At least he has a crack and plays with a bit of heart.

Dropping Holland is ludicrous.
All those 6 mentioned wont come in the side for round 2 they will eventually be replaced like this probably:
OUT: Fanning, R.Shaw, Williams (definates), and 3 others for team balance/lack of form (probably out of Lonie/O'Bree/Walker/Davis/Presti/Wakelin)
IN: C.Cloke, Richards, Fraser, Didak, Rowe, Maxwell.
Reasons for C.Cloke/Rowe/Maxwell out:
C.Cloke: I think MM has been unimpressed with his pre-season form and I am too. We need to send the message that if you work hard and show good form you will be selected.
Rowe: He HAS worked hard and shown great form but rumour has it he lied to the club saying he was sick but was found on the drink in a pub. If he lied to the club like that then I can accept that as a reason.
Maxwell: He has also worked hard and shown great form. The only way I can vouch for his non-selection is team balance. However in the end Presti was left without a matchup but Bulldogs forward line was like a lucky dip all day, you didn't know who you would get in there. They had the ability with Darcy, Rawlings, Grant, Bowden, Bandy to stretch us but they ended up only playing one real tall forward.
