Didak - Hamstring

I use this site for all my injury updates http://www.injuryupdate.com.au/afl.php, mainly for my DT/SC teams, but looking at it just then, seems that Didak is the only player listed as "diagnosis unknown".

Great to see Collingwood values its' supporters so well that it wont even release the most basic of information on players injury concerns.

I'm going to go to training tomorrow, with no real expectation of seeing Didak at all.

If he's out there, he won't be with the main group. My intel is solid.

Also, don't bother with injuryupdate.com.au - it is often out of date and misinformed.

Couple of boys on MMM last Saturday eluded to Didak being sidelined for more than one with a hammy strain.

Seems on the money.

Luckily, and I say this with utmost respect to Alan, who is a fantastic player... Heath and Nick coming back in cover our most glaring definciencies. Macaffer was a fine replacement for Dids (although temporary) but we really really missed Heater's run and carry, good kicking and defensive pressure. We also, obviously, missed Maxy's leadership and toughness.

Having said that, I hope he comes up soon.

I don't know if this helps but I'm sure that Channel 9 made mention of it happening in a closed training session? Do they do any training indoors after the main training session where he could have injured it?

Yea mate ur right, it was a Closed Training Session. The funny thing is that channel 9 said he pulled up badly yet didnt have any footage to prove it. Who knows, he might have a hammy injury but Maxwell specifically said; "Dids has got to get through training on Thursday … [he] did a smaller session but didn’t do the full session." mayb channel 9 saw him finishing his ALREADY PLANNED lighter session and took it as if he got injured.

based on last weeks game our galring deficiency is the inability of our fitness staff to prepare a team for AFL. Because, I don't know how a team after an 8 day break can look so fatigued from the first bounce.
All the pointing to skills blah blah blah were all effects of a fatigued 22 on the field. Fix that first please

Macaffer isn't a very good replacement for Dids. It leaves us with Rocca and Cloke as lead up KPF, as well as Anthony, Medhurst and Macaffer who are all medium sized lead up and mark forwards (I know Medhurst has more strings to his bow than that but you get the point). When we've got Lockyer and Thomas playing HFF there is just not enough crumbing depth there. If Dids isn't playing i'd drop Macaffer anyway and bring in Dick who's been kicking goals the last two weeks and had 13 (??) tackles on the weekend. Would really help out a forward line that has struggled both for crumbers this year as well as at applying any real defensive pressure - which Macaffer was terrible at against the Dons.

I'm really worried about Dids.

I hope he hasn't caused himself any damage resulting from a massive pre-season.

OP is generally caused by excessive training isn't it?
