Port are getting bad memories from last season when Dids Kicked the Winning goal at AAMI

If we didn't have Anzac day mid week then I'd love to see Didak play in the seniors but we do and I reckon half a game at willy is best and then bam straight in on Wed against the Dons. :)

Isn't it Thurseday

I know Dids is a star but surely lack of match practice etc would see him struggle in his first few hitouts. I wouldn't expect him to be too competitive this soon. But he needs match practice to improve, thus Willy would have been ideal. I doubt he could play at Medhursts current level at the moment.

Didak...awesome news, and good point Hoggy.

Malthouse press on SEN pretty much indicating Dids should play...and asked about Dids good form against Port, and Mick said "ofcourse it will come in play"...as in selection. He also said he has been good training this week, and that comes back to Hoggy's call.

Also, Mick pointed out that their is NO point playing Dids or Johno on Sunday for Willy with ANZAC Day being Wednesday...NO CHANCE! So, I would expect, with Johno and Didak in the 25, and Mick's comments, we'd expect both to play on Saturday :thumbsu:

I guess he could play a limited role against Port and then be fresh for the Bombers. I just hope we beat Port cause i'm less confident against the Bombers.

Ahhh the old shifty ploy of naming an injured player in Medhurst, and rather than covering him with an emergency, applying for another emergency to come in for him. We have done this a few times and I'm surprised other clubs don't do this more often. I know it's unlikely but what if you need to pull 3 players out of the squad after the cut off date?

You're allowed it.

No one should ever play a "limited" role in a senior game of football. Unless of course you're a one dimensional tap ruck man.

If Dids does play I think he would be rotating off the forward line.

Me reckons too soon for dids, must go slowly, slowly with him otherwise we don't want him to fall over again.Give him a few more weeks .

Johno into squad for Medhurst whose foot/ankle didnt come up.

You cant just change your emergencies at the drop of a hat. Not without a substantial fine. At least thats my understanding of the rules, unless theres some fine frint I was unaware of.

There's no way Didak will play on Saturday, imo. In fact I have my doubts against BJ as well.

We've done it a few times, and you can do that if you submit it to the AFL, but only if there is an injury. I remember reading something about 24 hours before the game you are allowed to make a change to the emergencies if there is an injury.

News to me - it kind of defeats the purpose of having emergencies, in my opinion. Wouldnt be the first time theAFL had rules that made no sense or had loopholes!!!

You learn something new every day.

Makes Dreamteam management a bit more tricky, too!!
