Those who have been watching Black and White show wouldn't have been surprised with his celebration....

:thumbsu::D Spot on...him and harry o always trying get the background set up for hip girations woo!!! Hooo!!! get down and boogie, didsy !!!;)

The comentary was f**king GOLD during that sequence.

New found respect for Blight as a commentator.

"Oh hello, goodbye......goodbye again". Then a chuckle. Hilarious.

"Is that...a Shimmy?!"

"It's a SHIMMYYYY!"

*short squeal*

"SHIMMYYYYYYYYY!!!!!"

Founnd that whole sequence both at the ground and in the replay hilarious. You can hear the crowd laugh in the replay once we all saw it on the replay. So good.

Arrogant and a bit "look at me look at me"
The game was over .. looked a bit silly for mine
I think if the shoe was on the other foot and a Treadrea or a Fevola was doing that 10 goals up against the pies you guys would be kicking and screaming about how much of an individual act it was and how you hope it comes back to bite them..

Didnt like it especially against a poo side while 10 goals up

The only thing arrogant about Saturday were the Richmond supporters pre game who thought they were going to win.

As for Didak, good players are allowed to show off because they can back it up on the field hence he can get away with it. Jack Riewolt is the only Richmond player who would fit into this category.

If only Richmond had a defence, they would have actually laid a finger on him and he wouldn't have needed to shimmy....

I don't have a problem with a decent Shimmy.... but that thing Didak did was far from it.

I understand that such a clever goal required something special, but that little shuffle appeared forced and il prepaired!

Didak should spend more time practising or stick to celebrations that aren't above him, Such as the "bow and arrow" or "the golf swing'.

Antonio Walker of the Boston Celtics would be shaking his head in disgust!

Disagree, Kruzering! I thought it was funny and relatively subdued.

Plus, it's great to see signs of emotion and personality from the players. Football was a lot more entertaining when it had plenty of unique characters and theatrics. I didn't even mind seeing Fevola intentionally riling up our cheer squad the last time he kicked eight goals against the Pies; it got everyone worked up and that's the kind of thing that makes victories all the sweeter.

I remember when Stefan Edberg was dominating tennis, my dad said something like, "I miss John McEnroe; he was so much more entertaining to watch than these cold Swedes."

The same could be said for modern football in that it seems so damn sterile compared to the past ...

we were 10$ underdogs that probably suggests not many thought we were gonna win

All good if you blokes dont have a problem with it but i hope i dont see anyone here bagging treadrea for his bow or ballantynes finger point or williams shotgun anytime soon!

Anyway all the best in finals im not anti magpie at all and hope you blokes do well all the best

All I can say is watch it in real time. Not even similar to Tredrae, Williams or Micky O's crowd screaming antics.

I prefered Triple M's commentary to the goal more.

From The Age website:

Didak hopes to shimmy at GF

July 26, 2010 - 4:39PM
Collingwood star Alan Didak hopes the next time he produces a celebratory shimmy it is in the last quarter of the AFL grand final. So pleased was Didak with the goal he kicked after selling two dummies to Richmond defenders on Saturday, he started grooving, although he has now put the move on ice.
"I'll put it away for a bit," he said on Monday. "I copped a little bit, but it's all fun. Hopefully in the last quarter in a grand final I can bring out a shimmy if we're up."

The players need to take some inspiration from these blokes:
