Dont care what you say about injuries or travel, or umpires.

This performance rates as the worst of all time for me.

Too many blind handballs, no pressure in the 50-50 contests. They must have won 75% of the ball when ball was 50-50 just through numbers and body strength.

Our midfield is incredibly small, we got thrown around like rag dolls. If supporters are going to talk up Hill and Morabito like superstars then they need to also criticise and not use the excuse of young inexperienced players. They were simply harassed off the ball and theres no excuse for Morabitos kicking of late.

We couldnt stop the run on, and if you asked me all week what was the one thing we had to do early it was to atleast keep it tight. To have 9 goals kicked on us in first quarter is poor. Game over and against a team like dogs who play well when in front it was poor coaching and poor defensive intensity from the boys.

Where to from here? Well realistically we need to finish 5th or 6th have a home final and get a win. Finishing 4th would be counting on Dogs losing more then us.

Yes Dockers have exceeded expectations this year.... no doubt about that, but 16 weeks of hard contested footy doesnt excuse todays performance.

I want to be a team that can look to make an impact in the finals, not be making up the numbers.

Worst loss ever.

Although I am happy to see my Bulldogs win, I was kind of dissapointed by the Dockers. I was hyped about this game all week and I wanted to see a good hard top of the table contest. Everyone expected this to be a big game- it was an eight point game with two hot teams fighting for a place in the top four.

... but once the game got started I felt like I was watching a top four Vs bottom four game. :(

Bit dramatic one would think - agree that we were disgraceful today, but I think you may be overreacting a little bit. To say freo>dogs over the last few rounds is just crazy.

Freo have been struggling of late due to the fact that many of our hardened senior players have been out injured, every week we've been having 3 or 4 changes. None of this excuses today's effort however.

The highlighted bits of your post I agree with, the bulldogs outbodied and out muscled our smaller midfield throwing them around like rag dolls. But when our midfielders who today besides Pav for a bit and a half fit Hase were all 1st 2nd and 3rd year players get to the age/game bracket of their bulldog opponents today then we'll be out bodying and out muscling opponents.

Dont care about injuries. They have been spoken of enough and we have played teams who have also had injuries at the start of the year.

Our decision making was poor. Getting run down in the middle of the ground as if playing under 12's to me highlights a massive lack of talk, awareness or both.

We need to bounce back next week and force errors through defensive pressure. Dogs ran ball out of defence like training drill.

The one thing... the very one thing id have focussed on all week would've been to keep it tight. When tight dogs go missing. They play a very similar brand to us in that they push hard forwards and can kick big scores and get run ons. However they cant win against big teams because when it gets hot and heavy they go missing.

Today unfortunately we played into their hands and i feel we tried to match them in a shoot out. Sad thing was that everyone knew that wouldnt work and we didnt have a plan B as it was over after quarter time.

Just poor.

Most of us had conceded this game unfortunately, too many players out or playing injured to tackle a high quality side like the dogs in the form you guys are in.

If we had Mundy, Barlow and Tarrant that would have raised the bar a fair bit. Hall in the past has struggled to score on Tarrant. Mayne, Bradley and Crowley in the side may have seen Lake stay accountable to the defensive end. Pav is not 100%, can't seem to bend and pick the ball up at his feet atm. The younger guys are just a bit green to be holding it all together without the others around.

We had no engine room, didn't matter if Sandi won the taps, you guys were just able to run it out. Mundy and Barlow have been the key to our midfield this year, which really hurts us atm. The worst part for mind was the inability of our other mids to prevent your guys running it straight back into the forward line.

How nice for you

Dont care about injuries as an excuse. Our so called depth has been exposed because we simply had too many passengers today.

We were 6 wins 1 loss. Since then 5-5 which means right now we're travelling pretty poorly and playing like a side who deserves to be 8th at best.

We have depth from 2007 onwards...with the addition of Barlow and Silvagni to help fill the gap.
When an injury list such as ours happens, including the two we brought in to fill the gaps, occasionally this will happen

If you're not going to factor in injuries as part of a performance, it only works to remove the validity of your opinion.

Have we played a team who were missing their 2 best midfielders as well as their main tagger, 2 of their best 3 KPD's, their back up ruckman and one of their sole forward targets, who also had their captain playing injured and their best player monstered at stoppages and evidently looking tired?

I'm not using that as an excuse, but when you're missing that level of experience and you're forced to play 12 first year players against one of the most experienced an in form teams in the competition on their home ground, it does put the loss in to perspective a bit.

The team we fielded today was not a top 4 team. With those players back we are a top 4 teams. Apart from Barlow, all those other players could return before finals, and when they do, I think we have the potential to play like a top 4 team again.

disagree. we can definitely talk them up but in the knowledge that they're likely to take a couple of seasons to come really good.

Worst loss ever.

there's no need for histrionics. we're hobbled and knackered and they're up looking to galvanise themselves on several levels. we can still finish top four by year's end, but there's as much chance of finishing 5th or 6th, and that's nothing to be sniffed at coming from where we have. we can look to next year and rub our hands, but there's also 5 crucial games left in the season.

This. After those 2 we have kids. Hill, Mora, Fyfe are good second fiddles at this stage but they can't carry the whole thing.

At one point Dwayno was comparing Hill to Griffen, implying Hill should be having the same impact. Griffen is in his 6th year of footy.

Piss off troll, or should I say GJ.

Don't give a shit what your opinion is. Clearly you think it's only important to contribute in the most negative way possible. The fact you only turn up when we lose shows what type of supporter you are.

Yes there were passengers today sure, but having to put so much depth on the field we are a genuine bottom 8 team when playing away from home, as most teams would be in the same circumstance. Get over it. With the other players back we will stand taller and play better. Can't lose 4-5 players each week and get the right team cohesion. We just need to be able to get back to the times where our only outs are the omissions.

Ok lets just conceed now and be happy for a final in which we lose because of this.

Then we can all go on about the future and how rosy it looks be happy with this year and wait for the the next few years.

Been there done that.

Fact is we had a real chance to do something today and not only did we go missing, we didnt fire a shot in first 10 minutes and it was evident we we're gone.

If you cant fire a shot do the next best thing... stop them. First quarter most dissapointing of all time. NO EXCUSES.

How much depth do you expect a team who has turned over half of it's list in the space of 2-3 years should have? If you need to replace such a significant proportion of your list in such a short space of time, chances are it's because you didn't have a lot of talent to start with. Most young players take a minimum of 2-3 years to get up to speed. Fremantle have been exceptionally lucky so many of theirs have fast-tracked already as it is.

Ok so your happy with performance and can go merrily on your way. You sound like the type of supporter who stands at the end of a finals loss to Essendon and cheer on the boys.

Im not going to stand and applaud just a show up in the finals performance. Not often you get chance to make top 4 especially 16 rounds into season and just fluff it in the most embarassing way possible.

People need to be less dramatic. All is not lost.

I felt our team isnt a top 4 team, even if we had all best 22 players available. We are still are a developing side with alot of improvement needed.

So its disappointing, but the bulldogs are a better team and were one kick from a grandfinal last year.

Relax, and enjoy the ride. This group will get better but we are still 2 years away from challenging for a flag.

Worst game of our history??

How long have you been a freo supporter for.

The game was disapointing, but you take any sides two best midfielders and top backmen, they still struggle against a top 4 side.

Let's not forget Palmer and Hasleby were struggling all game with injury and Pavlich needs a rest something cronic.

To be honest with a full team on the park we are a top 4 side (On this years form) at the moment we're not a top 4 side and if we finish 5-6th, nothing about this season for me has been a disapointment.
