Helbig and Miller were horrendous. It was like the two of them had been paid to screw up every forward drive we made. Why the **** was Post dropped goddamit. Shocking decision having the game up there, shocking coaching letting some mismatches tear us apart. There's learning losses and then there's soul-tearing losses.
 
Yeah, same feeling I had with the Doggies game. Soon as we get pumped up by the media its like the stage has been set for us to lose. I hope we never play at TIO again. Can't even get the lights working ffs.

Browne tried, I'll give him that, he's a better player than Gus.

He bloody had to shoulder the ruck against a guy who is on fire, and is almost twice his bloody age.

Helbig. First year player, he clearly isn't ready..his fumbles are beyond a joke, leave him at Coburg for a few weeks give him some confidence FFS.

Fair enough, but you don't let it go for 4 qtrs. He just lets things go too long before making a move at all and he does it a lot!
 
Farmer was fine, many were worse tonight. Helbig should not be playing, it's as simple as that. Dimma needs to get over his crush and play the players who can actually contribute to a win. No knock on Helbig, he will be a great player but he shouldn't be asked to play senior footy at this stage.

Browne was absolute rubbish but I'd prefer him over Graham.

Doesn't say much about Angus does it. Bring on the big X, and hell throw the kitchen sink at a decnt ruckman come years end.

Once again, if Deledio cant beat Pearce who is a front runner of the highest order he deserves to be stuck on him and not be moved onto a lesser opponent so he can gather a few cheap possessions and make his stat's sheet look pretty.

People need to start to realize that Deledio is shit defensively, sure he puts in a few decent spoils every now and again but he doesn't run hard enough the other way, this is the exact reason why Dimma has stuck with Deledio in the backline to teach him to be accountable, unfortunately people get all hard over the though of having him in the middle and fail to realize his short comings.

Agreed on all points.
I'd be ready to see some Morton if he was fit. We needed a third back astbury probably was the choice with that stick westhoff playing. Webberley deserved a game and conditions would've suited him.

Helbig deserves a 5-6 week run in reserves and if he finds something then he can finish out the season, he now knows what he needs. Post should be playing ahead of Miller as he is the future and miller is just filling a role. Grigg is a seriously questionable selection ATM he just doesn't go hard enough or do enough with the ball. We could even look at dropping White if there is no player for him to shut down up forward.

Rance made a few critical errors but i don't blame him because the support wasn't there down back we just let them run forward way too freely and it was really atrocious to see them get goals just because they had 2 or 3 players more then we did.

Selection should heat up after the BYE.
 
Not sure why you guys are going apeshit.. You are a young team.. It wasnt long ago you were insipid.. Looks like your fitness could be a concern though.. Mentally for once we were on tonight. Just take it easy it doesnt turn around that quick.

Not really trying to offend you but the way we played those conditions we would've lost to anyone. You played the conditions way better and we deserved what we got for selling our home game.

We played the conditions well which i was surprised at actually. Our fitness is the worst in the comp. Really you should of ran it out.

I know we have s**t in the reserves, but we're nearly better off playing 4 players short than having those guys in the team.

Your kidding right. So you would leave a player to man a guy that thrives on soft ball and that guy gives him 20m space all over the ground to prove a point! Bewildering. Port played players galore behind the ball to create loose soft touches, Hardwick was outcoached and the only move he made was Tuck subbing for Miller. Jackson should have gone to Pearce after he got a few touches and roughed him up, he wouldn't touched the ball after half time if that had happened.

So how does any of that improve Deledio's game by taking him off a front runner because he cant run both ways?

People need to realize 2011 is all about development, nobody learns anything by papering over the cracks, Deledio is a #1 Draft Pick and got towelled up by a front runner in Pearce, does that say more about Deledio or about Hardwick?
