Escape and hide is always an option! Try completing the first mission without being seen - a lot of saves and controller throwing are involved!

For those that are trying the Ghost route, I'm fairly certain you are only seen when the three white alert signals around a persons head turn red - maybe someone can clarify that all three have to turn red, but I've been playing on the basis that one one bar turns red it's time to reload.

I think you are on the right track, as I was wondering about this myself but I believe that as soon as you get into the "red alert" phase then it is time for a reload if going for Ghost. White alert seems to be cool, so as soon as you see red then you probably been seen.

Wow I'm bad at this game :D

Have been trying to go the stealth option but seems like everytime I come round a corner or drop of a ledge, bam, seen. Only way I can do it is just run around with dark vision switched on for as long as I can.

Certainly an entertaining game with a freshness that this year certainly needed in respect of gaming.
Not sure if anyone will agree with me but an option for third person view might have made this even better.
Quality game though.

I agree, but I usually suck at most 1st person view games, much prefer 3rd person. You generally get a wider field of view, easier to avoid guards etc.

Still a great game.

prolly 12-13 its not a long game but i still enjoyed it so much that i didnt mind

12-13 going full stealth?

I bought this yesterday and the guy behind the counter said it is a brilliant game. I thought he was joking when he said it was an 8 hour game (He must of blasted through it killing everyone). I'm probably going to do a bit of a mix, i was stealthy right up until the point just before you leave the sewer.

Enjoying it so far, although the stealth mode seems a bit clumsy when you want to lean around corners.

Finished it. I spent close to 20 hours all up trying to be as stealthy as possible. Didn't work out that well, but for a stand alone SP game, it is probably extremely short given i took my time and most people are getting it done between 8-13 hours depending on how they play it. In that sense, i feel a little short changed.

But overall, i prefered this over Deus Ex, just because of the BioShock type layout where you can choose between an array of potions on one hand, from possessing (take the body of a victim for a short time) and blink (teleporting) and dark vision (can see through walls) etc.... to go with the sword in the other hand.

The strangest thing about the game is the leaning out from cover, it's amazing how the enemy can be 5m in front and staring straight at you, but because you are leaning from behind and object, they can't see you. lol.

Story isn't too shabby either. Not much in the way of boss battles either, the only difficulty involved in the game is trying to find routes around the enemy trying to go undetected, which i enjoyed.

Just finished it.

  • The ending was pox.
  • Too short. I only just got some of my powers and barely got a chance to use them. I was collecting nearly all the runes. Perhaps its trying to make me replay, but I never can.
  • The options to attack in so many ways were great, but I felt the knife method could get things done just about every time. Ideally, the game should have demanded I use other methods.
  • The world was a great template, but ultimately it was hollow and lifeless. There were plenty of guards, a few reepers, a few animals, but thats it. Needed WAY more.
Overall a 7.5/10. Hopefully this becomes a fully realised world if there is a sequel. Could be an amazing game.

Pretty sure the game's focus was to not force players into doing anything, but to leave it up to personal choice.

I got the clean hands, ghost (and all the other stealth related trophies on the weekend). Trying to decide if its worth going for the platinum - the new DLC has quite a few trophies and my trophy list has updated at some point to include these (though I haven't and don't plan on buying this DLC) - does anyone know if you can still get a platinum without buying the DLC?

I know you can get the platinum for a game and still have the % of trophies be less than 100% - I got the Platinum for Dragon age 2 before the DLC was released and as I haven't purchased any DLC - it shows the platinum being awarded at 80% something

Yes, DLC never impacts the ability to get a Platinum trophy.

Awesome as - thanks HBK619 :thumbsu:

Might grind the last 7-8 trophies then to get the platinum.
