Div 2 Tips

I'd say in Div 2 with the poor disposal you need to be tall.

Kane Jones kicked 12 on the weekend. Probably 6'2", 85-90kg
Matt Cox kicked 10 on the weekend. Probably 6'2" max, 75-80kg

Yeah, you need to be tall, clearly the disposal must be shocking in Div 2 for these 2 'monsters' to kick a bag...

Didn't Kane Jone only kick half a dozen in the reserves round 1? Well held by a reserves backline or Belgrave seniors underperforming?

Emerald v Alex - Emerald should smash 'em
Kinglake v Powelltown - Kinglake at home will smash them (literally, they are feral at home)
Yarra junction v Seville - its a hard one! I think seville, as no one will stop jones
Belgrave v Yea - Belgrave at home.

emerald v alex - emerald at home by 29. alex better than what people think
kinglake v powelltown - kinglake by 4 only because its at kinglake
junction v seville - seville by 2. should be a cracker
belgrave v yea - yea by 7. toss of the coin

Emerald V Alex - Depends which Alex and which Emerald show up. Wet conditions will bring Alex's big bodies into the game. Are Emerald the real deal? Plenty of rumours coming out of Bomberland. Alex seem to be struggling with all the Thornton players coming across and finding positions for them. Emerald undefeated at home, will stay this way. Emerald by 16.

Kinglake V Powelly - Probably will just be a boxing match. The ONE player that goes the footy will win the game. Powelly by 22. Their first half against Seville showed promise.

Junction V Seville - Seville don't win very often at Junktown, but let's be serious people, are Junction any good? I know their ladder position suggests they are, but they have beaten teams who will battle it out for 5th spot. They need a scalp against a quality side, in which Seville are, and I reckon they can do it this week...lol jks...They will get pumped. Seville by 42. Jones might kick 48.

Belgrave V Yea - Belgrave have some real issues, which seems to be the norm for them. Outside of 2 players, the depth just isn't there. And of those 2 players, Stubley is getting tagged out of the game at the last 2 matches, and Osbourne (who was BRILLIANT against Kinglake and Emerald) is rumoured to be out for the season with a back injury similar to Troyhan. And Yea, I thought they had 4th sown up, but they appeared to drop the bundle on Saturday judging by the scoreboard. This game should be a cracker...lol jks... let's get 2 blocks of butter and leave them in the sun. Will be more entertaining than this match, with both teams as soft as butter. Belgrave by 16 in a game which will decide which team is butter and which team is fairy floss.

haha gold! :D

Kicked 7 in a close game and had only trained a couple of times. Plus troyan played as well and stole some of his goals.

lol jks, you seem to have plenty of negative things to say about Belgrave.. What's the deal? What club are you from? Where did you hear that info about Osbourne?

J6shSC, don't ask me too many questions, I'll get confused. I'm Belgrave's president...lol jks... I'm a Nigerian prince, send me $10,000 and I'll send you lovely woman princess. With black eyes. I know about Osbourne because I saw it on home and away...lol jks... Him and Troyhan were playing naked twister and slipped on the Vaseline.

Tips: Apart from the draw, I havent got one wrong. Just sayin..

Alex V Belgrave - Everyone says "Alex aren't that bad", well they are. Kicking 4 goals in a seniors game is woeful. And if it wasn't for Thornton recruit Brandon Kapakoulakissalamastrakispoulos they would be getting embarrassed, and he is only 3 and a half foot tall. However, Belgrave trounced Yea in the Fairy Floss Vs Butter blockbuster derby. They kicked plenty of bang a langs, with their courageous coach Kris Stasek slotting home 5. He himself kicked more than the entire Alex team last week, and for that reason I'm tipping Belgrave...lol jks... Alex's physicality will have the Belgrave guys calling their netballers in for replacements. Belgrave haven't won away from home, and they'll lose this one by 16.

Kinglake V Seville - Seville look like the real deal this year. They dominated Yarra Junktown last week, and the scoreboard didn't do the game justice. Scott Reece is just getting it done nicely, and when Marty Eckers actually shows up mentally, look out. Kinglake, Kinglake, Kinglake..hmmmm, what the hell is going on up there? They had Powelly down and out, and then started playing stupid, immature, individual football and coughed up 2 points they can't afford to lose, particulary with Seville this week and Emerald after the break. Kinglake seem to be injury struck and lacking a decent game plan...lol jks... The money's dried up, they have no depth. Their reserves couldn't beat the Yoralla Allstars, and their ones couldn't beat Seville's 2's. Seville by 1,423 points. Kane Jones to kick 27.

Powelltown V Emerald - Emerald are just flying under the radar, so I'll say it once, pay attention. With what appears to be a similar list to last year, plus a couple of handy recruits, Taylor has reinvigorated them and playing fast, courageous football. I have seen them play earlier this year, I thought it was a different team to the emerald of last year, apparently they now have a 'gameplan' or whatever that is. My scouts tell me their 2's got called off in the 3rd quarter due to their best player and Alex's best player clashing heads. Heard the Alex player was unconcious/coma and was still out 25mins later in an ambulance enroute to hospital. And the Emerald player (vice captain, best on????) has 5 fractures and 2 severe lacerations to his melon. Only what i heard. I also heard that the Emerald injury curse is back, with 5 or 6 to miss this week, including Dompietro with a fractured vertebrae in his neck after being sniped by an Alex player. I heard this ended up at the tribunal? Not sure of outcome, if it did go. What was the game again? Oh yeah, Powelltown at home will be too knuckle strong for Emerald...lol jks... Emerald by 78.6 points, Cox will outdo Jones by 1 and kick 28.

Yea V Yarra Junction - I questioned Junktowns worthiness as a top contender, and it was answered after the Seville game. No. Gatesy has lost the plot this season, showed a glimmer of what he used to be last week, but in the season to date, he's shown nothing. Zero. Zilch. Cam Hoare and the ever reliable Brad Charman are carrying them at the moment. Too many passengers. I'm not writing them off, they are clearly the third best team. Max Croaker is showing nothing, like the Gembrook ressys. Yea, wow! Talk about run off the rails and show nothing. The helmeted honeyeater running off the wing and Butterworth up forward are the only 2 showing anything. They need to rediscover their form from earlier in the season, and they might just show it at home this week...lol jks... They'll get absolutely towelled. Will be the easy kill to get their confidence back. Junction by 1 point.

lol jks you are pure comedy!!!

powelly v emerald - emerald for sure
kinglake v seville - Seville by plenty, kinglake have lost the plot!
alexandra v belgrave - Alex will win at home.
yea v yarra junction - yarra junciton by lots!

Great work jks!

powelly v emerald - Emerald by 40. Much better side and a premiership contender
kinglake v seville - Will be blowing a gale which will save Kinglake from a hiding.
alexandra v belgrave - Should be a decent game, Alex by 20. These guys will fight it out for 4th spot all year.
yea v yarra junction - Junction will bounce back and win by 50.

First year under 18 picked up best on for Seville on the weekend. Played on gates for most of the day and definitley got the better of him. Looks like a gun, one to watch out for this year...

lol jokes, i know a few wont like what your saying but i havent laughed that hard in a long time. very funny. i hope it continues every week

the incident that you are talking about where the Alex player sniped the Emerald player - i heard it definitely did go to tribunal and he got 2 weeks.

Powelltown vs Emerald Emerald by 61 Bomber outfit should be way to classy for Powelltown

Kinglake vs Seville Seville by 73 Seville will dominate a struggling lakers

Alexandra vs Belgrave Alexandra by 5 Alexandra with no Kapakoulakis the thornton recruit for the rest of the year as he has gone overseas will lose a lot from their midfield along with the suspended player who is a great midfielder. so this game will go down to the wire with alex just coming home with chockies.

Yea vs Yarra Junction Yarra Junction by 65 Junction will be way to strong

Emerald v Kinglake - Where have Kinglake gone? Emerald by plenty
Belgrave v Powelltown - I'm thinking Belgrave, only because they are at home
Yarra Junction v Alexandra - Alex by 4
Seville v Yea - Seville by lots

Should the draw be counted as a win, it seems a certain someone (yours truly) has tipped every winner thus far, get on board, i'll be signing autographs at 5pm, BYO pen and paper...lol jks... ring a beer because the queue will probably be 4 weeks long.

Hellgrave Vs Punchtown - YVMDFL website has this as 'Match of the Round', and what a bloody cracker-jack game this will be. WOW-WEEEEEEE...lol jks...now seriously, I'm the one telling the jokes, but joke of the week goes to the league for this doozie. For me, match of the round would involve a game of footy, where the players are able to handball, mark and kick the aggot. Maybe they will be running a comedy program on the wireless, instead of football commentary? Dunno. Belgrave have tried to buy a few more players, who on paper, look mediocre-to-OK. Apparently their funds are tight from the $800 a game Stubley is on, so the question has been asked, are these new recruits (relatives) any good? Let me see, they have been playing Div 3 EFL, seniors, which fairs ok, as that is where Scott Reece is from (Coldstream - Seville), but seriously, if you were any chop, you'd stay with a team who has only lost twice this year (Boronia) and play finals...lol jks... Belgrave is a much more appealing option. Back to the game, should be an absolute joy to watch this one, both teams are quite even, with Powelltown yet to win, and Hellgrave kicked a brilliant 3 goals against Alex last week, which was a good comeback from their 0.13 at halftime. I didn't hear of any 700km wind gusts, so we'll put it down to skill...lol jks... Alex must have been moving the goal posts. I can give you the 4 best players already, Stubley & Dadswell VS Miller and MacDonald, and whoever is more dominant out of these, should get the chocolates...lol jks...Apparently there is a busload of insomniacs coming along, as this game will be of more assistance to them than the triple dose sleeping tablets they are currently taking. I'm tired just thinking about this one, Hellgrave by 16.

Emerald Vs Kinglake
What the F%#K is going on with Kinglake? Sorry for cursing. Last year, this game would have been the same margin, but the other way around, with Kinglake & Emerald changing places within 12 months. Kinglakes game plan resembles that of an Under 10's, their attitudes are woeful, towards the game, and towards their team-mates. They need to rectify the shamble ASAP...lol jks... they can't, the money has dried up. Emerald, going well at present. Word was they had 7 senior players out last round, and still accounted for Powelltown by 11 goals. Teams with depth obviously get results due to healthy competition for their playing spots, eg Seville, Emerald and Junktown (to a degree). Last week at interleague, was very impressed with Taylor's efforts, marked by alot of people as BOG. One concern I have with Emerald is their inability to kick big scores on their homeground, which is quite small. When they are on the bigger grounds, they are a different team, which will put them in good stead come finals time, because their is NO WAY that the 'mud bowl' will host a final. I heard through my mates mum's goats daughters work colleague that Kenny will be playing this week. Find that hard to believe given there hasn't been a clearance lodged since April. But my source is reliable. Reckon Kinglake might cause an upset here, as Emerald haven't beaten them for 3 years...lol jks...Emerald to remain undefeated at home, will salute by 26. Cox to kick more than Kinglakes 1's and 2's combined.

Seville Vs Yea
Long trip from the end of the world to the potato chip. Just sayin. Yea showed a little fight against Junktown last round, and were competitive for most of the day...lol jks...that will mean NOTHINGGGGGGGG here. Seville are moving along quite nicely at present, and scarily for the competition, I don't reckon they have played a full game yet. When Eckers actually shows a fraction of the skills that he possesses, they will find another gear. Cececececererererere is it ripping form at the moment, but is vulnerable to going missing at times. Troyhan is back on the track (pun intended), but back injuries are no easy fix, will be interesting to see when, and if, he returns this season. Tanner isn't far away either. Few niggles and injuries at the potato chip, so the break came just at the right time. Wouldn't be surprised if Reece, Eckers, and a few others were put on ice for this cakewalk and brought back next week for the Grand Final Preview II. If Yea show some skill and fight, they are right in this...lol jks...Yea have no skill or fight at present, and will get an absolute flogging. This will be the first 20 goal win for the season. Seville by 134 (i used a formula to work it out). Jones to kick 14. From the bench.

Junktown Vs Alex
Good win by Alex last week...lol jks...They played Belgrave, who kicked themselves out of it. They are light on for mids at the moment with one still out from suspension and Kapalokatitikarklopolous overseas for the rest of the season. Junction had a nice win over Yea last week...lol jks...A 34 point win? Please, Powelltown would have beaten Yea by more than that. Gates and Hoare are MIA. Charman, aka Mr. Reliable, is all that's keeping them going at present. Great signs by recruit Ryan, who was BOG, and my sources say was DOM.IN.ANT. Alex will surprise Junktown with their physicality here, and this game will go down to the wire...lol jks...Junktown will recapture some form and win by 43. Charman to get more votes.
