We just need to put a decent forward tag on Malceski. We stop his impact and we win easy as that. Having said that he will probably be running around free with nobody on him all night. Do something Coach! Play Someone on him!
Possibly Sidebottom or Beams! I am smart:thumbsu:

Our midfield should run over them.

lots of big names coming in back for both teams. but theirs can easily be shut down.

There is no need to tag malceski if our forward press works.. If it doesn't then we definately need a plan b. Shaw and Grundy have also carved up through half back this season but they definately want the ball in malceski's hands as much as they can.

Instead of playing a defensive forward on him i think they'll try and get a Dick or Davis on him. Someone with pace that can apply good tackling pressure but also can threaten dramatically up forward...

Malceski is not great 1 on 1. MM will make him accountable.

If we spread from the stoppages, we'll do it with not much trouble. Sydney really struggle to counter sides with good spread, i.e. Bulldogs/Cats.

I wasn't convinced about this tactic until you assured us you were smart.... now all my worries have evaporated.

Hehe!!

Yeah, there's all that overwhelming evidence from all of dswan's previous posts that point to his genius!

We should all feel humbled in his presence. ;)

I think we need to have Leon Davis and Didak stand on each others shoulders, turn about obviously, to negate the Sydney ruckman. Together both are much taller and by only one having to run at any time, the one on the shoulders resting, they should be able to run him off his legs. This leaves Jolly in the pocket to take speccies over that loser Roberts Thomson and kick at least 13-14.
I am really, really smart and once was invited to attend a mensa test online.:D

IIRC a bloke named Dale Thomas had a BOG performance on Malceski a few years ago where he kicked 4 goals, took hangers and dominanted him.
I'm not suggesting it be Thomas again, however, the theme is to play an attacking player on him to keep him honest and not just think about rebound. Actually make him defend which IMO, is a big weakness of the Swans' half-back running brigade. Great rebounders, poor defenders and we have the quality mediums/smalls to expose them.

Interesting. Maybe Didak on the bottom with his little Andalusian horsey legs.

They are not poor defenders but they can be exposed in certain situations Malceski 1 on 1, Shaw when put under big pressure and Mattner when overhead or someone really elite/classy e.g Didak would be a horror matchup for Mattner whereas he would go well on a Sidebottom or Davis
