just putting it out there, surely in the past teams have contained a player who's main (read: only) job is to go out there belt people. Dean Wallis getting the callup for the essendon grand final in 93 springs to mind...and last year it seemed like solomon pretty much set out to maul cameron ling in that game.

when we come up against a team with a player who either is tearing us up or generally does, why can't we have a player to just come in and apply the HARD tag? wallace could say, "righto player x, in you go, go and knock [abletts, judds, etc] head off, take your suspension at the tribunal and we'll see you in 8-10 weeks".

surely teams have toyed with this.

do you think any of our peripheral players would be suited to this role? i understand it couldn't be quite as obvious as how i put it above but you get the idea.

tugga gave me a call on the telephone and directed me to this thread.

I heard two words: Jordan McMahon and then he hung up (which I thought was rude).

Maybe Richo...
He's our oldest player, and we want to invest some time in youth, and he has the body to give a fair whack or two. And cos' he's got such a good record, he'd only cop about 4 weeks...
Richo to do the Neville Bruns on Selwood, Ablett, Bartell and Johnson. Good idea :thumbsu:

Two problems:

Don't know if we have anyone tough enough to knock Ablett out.

And secondly, it's a low dog act.

DANIEL JACKSON is the MAN....

Anyone see him going at it off the ball today with Chappy???:)

In the end, another cats player came over to break it up and chappy walked away feeling his lip!!:thumbsu:

Also, remember seeing him in the VFL final against geelong take on about 3 blokes at once...

He has some Built up Aggression, thats for Sure... maybe its cause he has red hair!!:p

Not to mention the rundown on the boundary where Chapman shat himself and turned it over and the number of times he pantsed his far higher rated opponent (mostly Selwood) in the centre and won the clearance.

He's coming good and WILL have a good season if he can stay fit.
