Current logo is way too cartoony for my liking.
Merchandise would look much better with cleaner logo's.
I love this one and wish the used it on New Era hats.

This just reminds me of years of failureYes.
Personally I'm not a huge fan of the current one. The only saving grace is that we won a few flags with it.
I'd like to see something along the lines of this:

Looks proper fierce, has character, doesn't look like a children's cartoon... I could do on.
Does everyone else like our current logo?
That's a fair point that our current identity is tied to it, i just don't think it's an accurate representation of the club as it is now. It's not strong or fierce. Looks like a kitten. No way. Our current identity is associated with our recent success, just as our old one was with our mediocrity.
Wouldn't even think about changing it any time soon.
It does look good but it is from the era of failure.View attachment 1262501
it just looks so ******* good! I'm biased because this is the logo I grew up with, but I miss it every day.
I admit I still wear gear with that logo on it!that's all I knew up until a few years ago. I'm less put off by it![]()
Who here follows the development of Essendon’s logo? What other crimes do you want to admit to here? Murder? Breaking Covid protocols?I'd like something more retro. Essendon's recent 150-year logo is the style I reckon we should go for
Just like the minimalist old-timey design, no need to take any other tips from windy hill hahaWho here follows the development of Essendon’s logo? What other crimes do you want to admit to here? Murder? Breaking Covid protocols?
This is an apparel manufacturers / multimedia designers worst nightmare though.View attachment 1262501

that's a very valid point. This is an apparel manufacturers / multimedia designers worst nightmare though.
There's too much happening.
Less is more.
This one is too detailed to be a good logo.View attachment 1262501

Yeah I remember my experience being the same. This one is too detailed to be a good logo.
I remember being a kid trying to draw this and it was a ******* nightmare.

Should a club logos be decided on whether it's multimedia friendly though? I'm not denying that's an important factor, especially for a business, but do you feel it is a good representation of our club?Spot on , current one is a flat logo which makes multimedia friendly

Does it inspire any feelings other than "yep that's a sports logo"? It doesn't scream "eat em alive" personally. It purrs "meow"
but should it's use outside the club be the largest factor, in your opinion? Not having a go, i just it should represent the club first, then make efforts to ensure it's useable by others. If you think there's enough there then fair enough.Yes, it should ,since the logo would be used by entities outside the club mostly on digital platforms. I dont mind it, it's not as aggressive looking as the old one but theres enough there
