Basically every time I have attended a doctor's appointment they have been 15 to 60 minutes late. Never once had an acknowledgment of their tardiness or an apology, just act like nothing has happened.

Has this been your experience?

Better yet has anyone confronted a doctor about their lack of punctuality?

Because after working with patients they are simply going to go "Times up lol book tomorrow!" and kick them out

Never had a doctor run on time. Always waiting 20-30 minutes to get about 3 minutes of face time with the Doctor who then rushes you out asap.

My dentist on the other hand, always on time, often early. A few times I've walked in 5 minutes early to him standing at the counter waiting for me. Dude is punctual as ****.

Psychologists and counsellors actually do this. Doctors dont seem to give a shit.
Actually giving a shit maybe why doctors spend more then the 15 minute alloted time with someone?

I always try and make my doctors appointment early in the morning [between 9-10am] as I know I'll be waiting nearly 30 minutes for the appointment.
Dunno what it would be like with an afternoon appointment.Might be waiting over an hour.

Plenty of times I've been "that" patients who fouls up a doc's schedule. I can't begrudge that of others.
Tends to be an older person wanting a nice big chat. Doctors have to spend time with

And yeah. If i cant see a doctor before 10am i will go to a different place for an appointment. A 5 minute longer wait is better then 50.

You can't really blame them when appointments can take longer than they've planned.

The GP clinic I go to they now ask if you just need a short 15 min appointment or a longer 30 min one but sometimes it's hard to know how long you'll need and you still end up waiting for ages due to a backlog of appointments.

Yes you can blame them.
Sneaky bastards always try to ask extra questions to tip you over into an "extended" appointment.
**** that, $47 compared to $110, just give me that cream for my nut rash and I'll be on my way.

Same for me.

My dentist is always on time, and when I get there early then I can come in straight away too.

Also, always offering if I need something extra done for free such as adjusting my splint (for grinding).

Meanwhile, the old doc is half an hour late and also doesn't seem to know more than the average guy who has looked something up on the internet.

I'm more thinking what the hell are the patients doing to take so friggin long.
Same. Sitting in the waiting room watching everyone go in, 20 minutes later they come out. I don't think I've ever been in there for more than 5 minutes. Maybe 10 at a stretch.

A lot of patients need a weekly review from their GP after being discharged from the hospital.

It would take that amount of time to assess the wound, ask the questions and do the proper documentation.

I waited an hour and a half once . The patient came out bawling. I guess it wasn't good news. So i wasn't angry. Just felt sorry for them.
