Greg Champion's "That's The Thing About Football"? Yeah that was a good one.

I always liked his footy songs - esp his Adelaide tunes. "Tony Modra's Gone Surfin" and "Come Back Shaun Rehn" were very clever.

If I recall correctly the vintage footage (like Jezzas towering 1970 mark) was far more exciting than the actual song?

Can anyone name the instrumental song (sort of pacy semi classical with drums) they used prior to this? They used the same tune for the Australian Open Tennis for years and way way back it was the theme for CBS sports as well.This wasnt so bad imo.

And Channel 9's 'AFL. On Nine'. Both have been around since 2002 and it's about time both stations updated their themes, and channel 9 needs to update its coverage (it's just so boring now seeing the same old, same old for the last 3 years). At least Fox Footy changes its theme each year, and totally revamped their coverage this year (and not just make everything 3-D like 10 did).
