personally, I wouldnt give any draft picks for cole. We need trade currency for a tall forward, and we have retained scott clayton to use draft picks.

however, I could see the sense in doing a player swap of something we have lots of for something you have lots of.

in this case sam Power. both taken with 1st rnd draft picks.

coles is attractive to us due to size and aggression, but has definciencies that we can cover, i..e disposal

power has good disposal and is 189cm but plays small and lacks aggression.

However, I think this article might be a classic case of Cole's manager putting it out there to put a bit of pressure on the Pies and add a few more $$$'s to Cole's contract.
It would be more likey to be put out by Colligwood to stimulate demand in a dissapointing player.

I'd try and get a 2nd rund draft pick for him or try adding a draft pick and get Power from the Dogs

Hopefully Sheeds is stupid enough to give up a higher draft pick for him though

Stupid - I don't think so!! Sheeds is the king of trades, Pick #6 for Danny Jacobs, McPhee and Cupido for Carousella

We don't need another tall target and we have better ruckmen than Fanning. Then again so does McDonalds. If we spend on a ruckman it has to be a big bodied good tap ruckman. I hope we wouldn't go near Skipper with a fillet o’ fish.

We really have to stop drafting Grimace!

Hey, he looks quick and a brave:
Pick 21: Grimace.

Well whatever his name he'll make us grimace on form.

unless we trade cole in order to secure murphy or hurn and then a kpp backmen then no trade! Cole is a good player and has all the attributes we need! He isnt the first or he wont be the last young player to have a bad season! I woudl however trade bradley for cole but thats about it from essendon, or there 1st rounder.
from the bulldogs id want cole +something for griffen/cooney/giansirracusa
or else no deal

or maybe even to geelong for bartel
